Now that fans are sinking their teeth into the new update, it is time to look forward to Genshin Impact 1.7 and what the next update will bring to the game.
Genshin Impact 1.7 Release Date
If miHoYo continues to follow the same update patterns as they have in the past, then Genshin Impact 1.7 should launch around July 21, 2021.
miHoYo usually runs each version for around six weeks, barring delays, meaning that players will most likely see 1.7 on that date.
Genshin Impact updates have run like clockwork ever since the release of Genshin Impact 1.1.
Genshin Impact 1.7 Leaks
Ayaka was leaked to the public around Genshin Impact 1.5, and it finally looks like she will arrive in Genshin Impact 1.7.
Yoimiya and Sayu
Early leaks of the Electro Traveler have revealed some details of what players can expect for Genshin Impact's main character when they arrive in Inazuma.
While it is unconfirmed whether or not Inazuma will feature in Genshin Impact 1.7, there may at least be an initial Statue of the Seven dedicated to Baal, allowing the Traveler to switch elements like they did as they arrived in Liyue.
Rumors are now pointing to the mainland of Inazuma not being added to Genshin Impact until Genshin Impact 2.0.
That being said, we may see islands of Inazuma beforehand, possibly in Genshin Impact 1.7.
One of these islands was revealed by miHoYo as Tsurumi Island.
Once meeting Kazuha in Genshin Impact 1.6, it is expected that 1.7 will feature the Traveler trying to get into Inazuma with the help of Beidou and the Crux Fleet.
Since Inazuma's borders are currently closed, the former pirate would be the perfect person to help smuggle players into the alienated nation.
The update applies to PS4, PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.
There is still no official release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact.
Nintendo Switch Release
Originally, a Nintendo Switch port of the game was supposed to launch in September 2020, when Genshin Impact came out of beta.
Unfortunately, this version was delayed, and so far, there has been no official release date set.
With Genshin Impact 1.6 out in the wild, there is still no word on when fans will be able to get their hands on the Switch version, but it is expected soon, with a full release expected in mid-late 2021.
Rumors have been spreading that miHoYo may be waiting for the release of the Switch Pro, with the developer possibly having issues with a Switch port due to the limited power of Nintendo's console compared to the resource needs of Genshin Impact.
