What Is The Best Ayaka Build In Genshin Impact?

Ayaka is a 5-Star Cryo Sword user in Genshin Impact, known as the Homeward Heron.

The eldest daughter of Inazuma's Kamisata Clan, Ayaka is also part of the Yashiro Commision that oversees fesitvals and special occassions in the Nation of Eternity.

A powerful Cryo character, Ayaka's base attack matches that of Eula, though her speed far surpasses the Spindrift Knight.

While she is fairly new, the follow build will find Ayaka players plowing through foes with her powerful attacks and abilities

WEAPON: The new Mistsplitter Reforged is the way to go

The best sword to use with Ayaka is the 5-Star Mistsplitter Reforged, a weapon that arrived with Genshin Impact 2.0.

Only available via Genshin Impact's Wish system, it has the following stats at Level 1:

  • Base ATK: 48
  • Secondary Stat Type: CRIT DMG
  • Secondary Stat: 9.6%
  • Ability: Mistsplitter's Edge - Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for every element and receive the might of Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

When refined to Level 5, Mistsplitter's Edge becomes:

"Gain a 24% Elemental DMG Bonus for every element and receive the might of Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 16/32/56% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type.

"A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds. Increases DMG by 20%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field.

When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 32% and increases ATK by 40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s."

At Level 90, the Mistsplitter Reforged stats are as follows:

WIND: Kazuha supports Ayaka as another damage dealer

Ayaka is a Main-DPS best supported by Kazuha as a Sub-DPS, buffing her Cryo and dealing additional damage with his skills.

Xingqiu can also provide some damage support but is mostly in the team to provide Hydro for Elemental Reactions.

For additional Elemental Mastery, Diona fills the last spot, also offering healing and shields.

While there are certainly other characters to fill each role in an Ayaka party, this team offers the best mix to help Ayaka pump out incredible damage.

Ayaka's constellations make her even more of a Cryo powerhouse, shortening or removing her cooldowns while pumping out more damage.

While it is going to be incredibly hard for players to obtain constellations for her without forking over some serious cash, those players who are lucky enough to even unlock her first level will find that Ayaka becomes a serious force to contend with.

Constellation Level 4 is an especially useful unlock, dropping the defense of foes which is always a good thing.
