During the live stream, we got our first look at the new Character Banners that will be introduced in Genshin Impact's next update.
Latest - Genshin Impact 2.0 Available Soon
The Genshin Impact 2.0 update will be available on 21 July 2021, and developer miHoYo is making it easier than ever to get things updated.
The 2.0 update will be available to pre-install for the first time. Better yet, it's super simple as you can just select 'Game Pre-Installation' from the main page in the game's launcher.
Genshin Impact 2.0 Event Banners
Ayaka is headling the first Event Banner on July 21, 2021, while Yoimiya is headlining the second on August 10, 2021.
Sayu, a new 4-Star character, will be one of the three 4-Star characters highlighted on the Yoimiya banner.
The Ayaka banner will also feature Yanfei, Ningguang, and Chongyun.
Ayaka is going to be a Cryo character who uses a Sword; Yoimiya is going to be a Pyro character who uses a Bow and Sayu looks like she'll be making the most out of the Anemo Element and a Claymore.
Future Genshin Impact 2.0 Characters
It has also been confirmed that Raiden Shogun, Baal, Thoma, Kujiro Sara, Kokomi, Gorou, and Yae Miko will all be playable in the future through various upcoming Genshin Impact 2.0 updates.
These are characters you will all meet throughout the Traveler's journey into Inazuma.
As you can see below, there are a few famous voice actors being brought into miHoYo's team too.
There hasn't been anything to suggest that these new Character Banners won't be released at the times mentioned below; However, you can check out the latest Genshin Impact trailer for yourself here:
The Electro Traveler
Inazuma is a region ruled over by the Electro Archon, Baal.
Just as the Traveler could switch their Element to Geo once entering Liyue, they will switch to Electro by visiting a Statue of the Seven in Inazuma.
Leaks point to two Elemental Skills called "Thunderflash" and "Resounding Roar," while the Elemental Burst looks to be called "Bellowing Thunder."
More details are expected during the Special Program Announcement on July 9.
Genshin Impact 2.0
Introducing the next major chapter in the Genshin Impact storyline, Genshin Impact 2.0 will add the islands of Inazuma to the game and all that goes with a new nation.
Expect new NPCs to interact with, Electroculus to find and offer to new Statues of the Seven, and wild new locations to explore.
