FIFA 23 99 Pace Merchant: New FUT Hero is FASTEST player in Ultimate Team

21 new FUT Heroes have been unveiled ahead of FIFA 23, gaining a comic-inspired makeover thanks to a new deal between EA and Marvel.

In the announcements, EA also revealed the card ratings and base stats for the inductees, with some very special players set to come.

We all love having a speedster in our Ultimate Team and it looks like we know who the quickest player will be in FUT 23.

Speedy Saudi

Spending the entirety of his career at Saudi club Al-Shabab, Saeed Al-Owairan could have gone unnoticed internationally had it not been for a sensational solo goal during the 1994 World Cup which sent Saudi Arabia into the second round.

Picking up the ball in his own half and beating five men, Al-Owairan slotted home after running 69 meters on his own.

In celebration of that moment, he has gained a FUT Hero card, with his FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes variant picking up an 88 OVR rating.

However, the stat that really catches the eye is his 99 PAC, making him the fastest player in Ultimate Team!

We don't yet know if his base FUT Hero card will also possess maximum pace too, but it certainly makes him one to watch out for in the upcoming game.

Bringing the Pace

Although we don't yet have official stats for other players in FIFA 23, we know that Al-Owairan will sit top of the table simply because you can't get any better!

The player we predict to be closed to him in terms of pure speed is Kylian Mbappe, who could also gain the highest overall rating in the game.

The Frenchman has 97 PAC in FIFA 22 and we don't see that changing.

Also up there is Adama Traore, who has 96 PAC and is an early FUT favourite.

FUT Heroes

FUT Heroes were new items in FIFA 22 that represent the unforgettable moments that turned the individual players into fan favourites.

The FIFA community view FUT Heroes as one level below an ICON in Ultimate Team.

FUT Heroes have league-specific chemistry which is tied to their specific hero moment, providing a green Club link to any player within the same league, as well as the usual nation link.

Throughout the FUT 22 season, we saw the FUT Heroes gain upgrades in the FUT Captains and Shapeshifters promos, to keep them in line with the increased power curve of the game.
