Hellblade is easily one of the most visually impressive games we've seen so far. Ninja Theory brings the strange world of Senua's Saga to life and it's easily one of the most surprising games we've seen in a long time. Hellblade 2's announcement was two years ago and we're finally seeing more about this incredible-looking sequel during 2021's The Game Awards.

LATEST - Cinematic Gameplay Reveal @ TGA

Ninja Theory's recent acquisition by Microsoft has obviously made an impact - Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 looks unreal and the team's focus on this highly-anticipated sequel is clearly paying ogg.

Although there's no release date and the gameplay itself seemed largely cinematic and scripted, it still looks like an amazing game and will easily be one of the best looking games available when it eventually releases.

Hellblade 2 did not show up at E3 2021, but is instead planned for a showing of sorts at the Xbox Games Showcase: Extended.

Is Hellblade 2 Exclusive To Xbox?

Yes, as part of Ninja Theory's transition to a first-party Xbox studio, their titles will be Xbox exclusives. There is some irony to this as the first title was a timed exclusive for the PS4 and PC.

If there is one thing we learned from E3 2021, it's that Xbox will utilise their first-party portfolio exactly how they should. All titles from these studios, going forward, will be at the very least timed exclusives if not completely exclusive to the Xbox Series X and S while also releasing on PC.

Yes, Hellblade 2 will launch Day One on Xbox Game Pass. This is part of the overall initiative to ensure all first-party games are launching on Game Pass for subscribers.

The knowledge that you will never have to pay for a first-party title if you are a Game Pass user has been one of its biggest selling points since it launched.

Who Plays Senua In Hellblade

Senua is played by Melina Juergens. She was, and still is, a video editor at Ninja Theory before stepping in to help out with some motion capture. During this, she became a perfect fit for the character and has portrayed her ever since, winning a BAFTA and Game Award for doing so.
