Genshin Impact 2.5 Yae Miko Teaser: Everything we learned from the new trailer

Genshin Impact released a new Character Teaser, Yae Miko: Kitsune's Affections.

Instead of showing Yae Miko in battle, this new trailer focused more on showing Yae Miko's personality and a day in the life of the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.5 Banner character.

With beautiful animation and editing, Yea Miko Kitsune's Affections made the character even more relatable, giving players more reason to spend their precious Primogems wishing for her on launch.

Yae Miko Release Date

Everbloom Violet, the first banner of Genshin Impact 2.5, will go live on February 16 and will be available until March 9.

The Banner will feature Yae Miko - 5-star Electro, Catalyst character, and the following 4-stars characters:

• Thoma - 4-star Pyro, Polearm User
• Dionna - 4-star Cryo, Bow User
• Fischl - 4-star Electro, Bow User.

Yae Miko: Kitsune's Affections

The character teaser of Kitsune's Affections shows in a little bit more than 90 seconds, the three favorite things for Yae Miko:

• Light Novels and Sake
• Fried Tofu, and Kushikatsu
• Human Realm

Kitsune's Affections Easter Eggs

New Light Novel

The first interesting detail is in the Light Novel Yae Miko is reviewing. She is the editor in Chief of Yae's Publishing House.

The editorial is involved in the story during World Quests, and there is an actual bookstore in Inazuma City, where players can purchase in-game books and novels of Yae's Publishing House.

It seems to be a story about Oni and other creatures based on the cover. Currently, the book doesn't exist in the game, so it will probably become available in ver. 2.5.

Fried Tofu

In the following clip, we can see Yae Miko eating Fried Tofu. We know Yae is in the Uyuu Restaurant, as the voice-over mentioned her chef Okazaki Erika.

The Fried Tofu that makes her so happy is an easter egg for Yae Miko's Special Dish the, Fukuuchi Udon: Udon Noodles with a piece of Fried Tofu on the top.

The dish will revive characters, restore 15% of Max HP, and heal 550 HP. The Ingredients to cook one meal of Fukuuchi Udon are:

• 3 Flour
• 1 Sea Grass
• 1 Fisch

Voiceovers

While she walks back to the Shrine, we can hear dialogues about Yae Miko's personality. The voices are characters from Inazuma.

• Kuroda NPC (Editor in Yae's Publishing House)
  • Lady Guuji is the World Best's Editor if you ask me...
• Gorou
  • She's a crafty fox who's playing mind games...
• Kokomi:
  • Truth be told, Yae Miko is an outstanding shrine maiden
• Itto:
  • Hey! She's that fox lady I ate ramen with that time!
• Sayu:
  • She's the scary lady who forces me to go to work...

However, there is an additional dialogue in which the source is unknown. The voice mentioned that Yae Miko is a hundred years old.

The person talking seems to be very close to Yae Miko as he mentioned, he used to carry her on his shoulders.

A theory believes it is the same voice of the enemy in the Genshin Impact 2.5 trailer; that would be a real plot twist.

We will have to wait until we play Divina Vulpes Chapter, Yae Miko Story Quest.

Kitsune's Affections is definitely of the best cinematics from Genshin Impact 2.5. The video will increase the hype for Yae Miko.

The question is, will it be enough to break Raiden Shogun Selling Record?
