NBA 2K22 Seasons are a new innovation this year, as 2K has decided to bring new content to the game as a whole rather than just to MyTEAM.
Rather than letting the theme and rewards be confined to one game mode, Seasons gives players fresh content across several different parts of NBA 2K22.
The next way that will happen is with the arrival of Season 2: Build Your Empire, and they're heavily channeling Michael Jordan and his legendary Chicago Bulls team.
MyTEAM is going direct with a Free Agent Michael Jordan card that will be available to all players, and in addition there will be an Evolution Dennis Rodman up for grabs.
We don't know exactly what time the content will go live, but Season 2: Build Your Empire begins on October 22, 2021.
The release is likely to land earlier in the day, potentially around 8am PT, as that's when season related Locker Codes tend to expire, but that time isn't yet guaranteed.
MyCAREER and MyTEAM gear up for new Halloween content to arrive
The arrival of NBA 2K22 Season 2: Build Your Empire will bring tons of new content across all of the game, but most players will have their eyes on MyCAREER.
A new season means that there will be a new reward path, and players can push their all the way to Level 40 if they want to unlock the Skeleton Mascot outfit.
In addition, MyCAREER gets an all new Rebirth mechanic that will allow players to start a new Rebirth save file with gives you a huge headstart in MyCAREER.
Halloween is just over a week away, and they're of course packing spooky easter eggs throughout starting with new Club 2K music and a Cage Match duel in the Kia Challenge.
There will be plenty of scenery changes as the Halloween makeover hits both The City and Cancha Del Mar with a mix of gothic architecture, Day of the Dead colors, new court designs, pirate themed changes, and more environmental adjustments.
On October 31, they'll present "The Long Night" as players in The City or on Cancha Del Mar see it plunged into darkness all day long as players can trick-or-treat for banners, consumables, VC, and more.
Park After Dark is looking to make a return later in Season 2 as they've teased players will get to "hoop, shuffle and rave in the desert" when that is finally revealed.
MyTEAM will receive tons of new challenges and rewards, many of which are inspired by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, and they're also introducing a new Player Coach Cards mechanic in MyTEAM.
