MyTEAM in NBA 2K22
MyTEAM is the ultimate team game mode in NBA 2K that allows players to build a legendary squad of players from basketball's past and present.

We've seen plenty of unique seasons in NBA 2K21 like Age of Heroes and Glitched Reality, which 2K will likely look to bring back once again when NBA 2K22 arrives.

MyPLAYER needs to link with MyTEAM
One layer of integration that 2K needs to look into is between MyPLAYER and MyTEAM, which MLB The Show 21 has done this year with Ballplayer and Diamond Dynasty.
The link allows users to bring their created player into the Ultimate Team mode, earning experience for the created player while simultaneously working towards overall Ultimate Team progress.
2K Sports could take the cue from Sony San Diego and start to link MyPLAYER with MyTEAM this year in similar fashion with NBA 2K22.
Most Wanted New Features
One big request would be allowing some transfer of MyTEAM progress or cosmetics from NBA 2K21 to NBA 2K22.
It would likely extend the life of NBA 2K21 if players knew their work now would help in NBA 2K22, along with incentivizing people to jump to the new game when it launches.
We could also see new game modes in MyTEAM, possibly geared towards casual players, with one possibility being a co-op option.
A new game mode in MyTEAM could allow players to choose a single MyTEAM card and play a 2v2 or 3v3 match controlling only their player while working with and against others online.
These are just a few of the ways NBA 2K22 could change things up by the time the game's release date finally arrives.
