FIFA 23 Title Update 12: Patch Notes & Release Date

FIFA 23 is coming to the end of its cycle, but the work continues on the game, with Title Update 12 the latest improvement.

Fixes to bugs in Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs and Volta, as well as to some general issues, have come to all next-gen platforms.

FIFA 23 Title Update 12 Release Date

Announced via the official FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account, the FIFA 23 Title Update #12 was released on Wednesday, 10 May.

The update was rolled out across all next-gen platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

We expect it to come to PS4 and Xbox One soon, although there is no confirmed date for this yet.

FIFA 23 Title Update 12 Patch Notes

FIFA 23 Title Update 12 includes several changes, with the Patch Notes as follows:

FIFA Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

• In Co-Op Friendlies, after scoring a goal, a placeholder image could appear underneath the scoreboard UI.
• The reward preview button callout was not displaying for some SBCs.

Pro Clubs x VOLTA FOOTBALL

Addressed the following issues:

• Sometimes, earned Skill Points during matches did not display in match lobbies and became available after returning to the Pro Clubs hub.
• The Challenge UI was not displaying during a specific Shootout FUT Moment.
• Addressed a stability issue that could occur when trying to enter Pro Clubs.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

• Updated some kits, tifos, star heads, banners, flags, stadium themes, 2D portraits, and boots.
• In Tournaments, some teams could not be swapped in the UEFA Women’s Champions League competition.

Addressed the following issue:

• Addressed instances of multiple stability issues that could sometimes occur.

EA FC

With the Team of the Season campaign in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team signalling the game is coming to the end of its cycle, fans are beginning to wonder when the next title in the series will be released.

It's important to understand that FIFA as we know it will not be named 'FIFA 24'. Instead, it will now be named 'EA FC', following the well-documented split between FIFA and EA Sports after ongoing licensee fee issues.

So, we're not looking forward to a FIFA 24 release date but now an 'EA Sports FC' release date - the title of EA's new footballing sim, set to arrive in 2023.

We expect to see an EA Sports FC release date of around Friday, 29 September 2023, in keeping with the FIFA titles that have gone before.
