It is time for a new season in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team this week, with plenty of new content now available in FUT 22.
The current FUT promo, Winter Wildcards, will continue and be the first promo event of the new season, but it will surely be followed by one of the biggest and best in the FUT calendar!

Release Date
The official start date of Season 3 will be Thursday, 23 December, with Season 2 seeming to fly by.
We are still getting used to a new start day and time from last year, with Season 3 commencing at 4am ET / 8am GMT.
Storyline Player Picks
As with the previous seasons, there are Storyline player picks available to unlock at levels 15 and 30, as you build up your XP.
Once again we have stars from the Portuguese Liga NOS with Reggie Cannon (OVR 84) and Fabricio (OVR 87) available at LVL 15 and LVL 30 respectively.
The EFL Championship also has representation in the form of Chris Willock (OVR 84) and Preston's Alan Browne (OVR 87).
However, the Eredivisie players have been shelved for now, with two MLS stars made available in Brazilian centre-back Nathan (OVR 84) and former Swansea midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo (OVR 87).
This suggests that we will see more MLS players released soon in the game, with more Squad Foundations likely to follow!

Division Rivals Milestone Rewards
New to FIFA 22 is the Season Milestones Division Rivals rewards. Much like weekly rivals rewards, you will receive your prize once Season 2 has finished, the better your rank in rivals, the better the reward.
Whatever results you've been getting, win, lose or draw, you will have been making progress towards your Seasonal Rewards.
Division 2 rewards will become available at the same time Season 3 kicks off, so at 4am ET / 8am GMT on Thursday, 23 December.

Icon Swaps
Icon Swaps 1 were released on Wednesday, 15 December, and as with nearly all other releases, the objectives went live at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
The first set of nine tokens are available until Monday, 10 January, as are the Swap SBC rewards.
This surely means that the remaining nine tokens will be released at some stage in FUT Season 3.

Winter Wildcards
The all-new Winter Wildcard promo is now underway in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and it has been a smash-hit with FUT fans!
Not only have the promo cards been terrific, but the daily SBC players have also excited fans with the likes of Wilfried Zaha becoming available.
The Winter Wildcards event will provide more than just a squad of special cards and new SBCs too, with Swap tokens similar to Icon Swaps also available to unlock by completing daily SBCs and objectives.

Team of the Year
The Team of the Year event is exactly what it says on the tin, with the best performing XI of the past year receiving incredible special cards.
Expect it to include a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers, but not necessarily conforming to their positions.
Nothing has been confirmed by EA yet, but we are expecting Team of the Year to come to the game in mid-January.
This tweet from FIFAUTeam shows that the TOTY Cup will be taking place on Friday, 21 January, possibly indicating a potential start date for the promo.
