Release Date

The official start date of Season 2 was on Thursday, 11 November, ending what has been a long first season in FUT 22 if you enjoyed early access way back in September.

The changing of seasons arrived at a new time from last year though, with Season 2 commencing at 4am ET / 8am GMT.

EA Play members received an XP boost at the start of the season too, helping to ease through those early levels.

Storyline Players

There are six Storyline Players released as part of Season 2, with picks at LVL 15 and LVL 30.

LVL 15 Players

The three players on offer at LVL 15 are all rated 83 OVR, so they probably won't start in your competitive squads.

However, when objectives like Icon Swaps are released, they can come in handy when you are required to use first owned players from specific leagues and countries, so choose wisely!

Ogechika Heil (OVR 83)

German and from the Eredivisie, Ogechika Heil provides a pacey and useable LW option.

Josh Pask (OVR 83)

The perfect partner for the new Bundesliga League Player Reece Oxford, Pask is, in our opinion, the second-best non-Icon English centre-back currently available.

Pedro Teixeira (OVR 83)

The second Liga NOS Storyline Player pick after Pedro Porro in Season 1, this could be a theme EA is set to continue with throughout the FUT 22 cycle.

LVL 30 Players

None of the major leagues feature in the LVL 30 picks either, but if you selected Pedro Porro in Season 1 then we would choose to continue the Liga NOS trend.

EA used the Eredivisie a lot in their objectives last season, could they be doing the same with Liga NOS in FUT 22?

Karlan Grant (OVR 86)

Another English Championship player, Karlan Grant's incredible pace and power make him a very good option.

Lincoln (OVR 86)

The third Storyline option for Liga NOS, and would be our first choice. Pace, trickery, and an eye for goal make this Lincoln card very handy, and he has Brazilian chemistry links!

Marco van Ginkel (OVR 86)

EA has matched up the Storyline Picks in Season 2 so there are two options from each league, and former Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel certainly has quality in those stats.

Promo events

What’s next in FUT 22? Rulebreakers ended on Thursday, 11 November and the Adidas x EA collaboration event is set to take over.

With the new promo beginning on Friday, 12 November, what else could we see arrive in Season 2?

Black Friday lands on Friday, 26 November, so there is time for a two-week Adidas event before then.

After that, we could see a European Team of the Group Stage event followed by FUTmas, although that could be wishful thinking.

Season 1 Div Rival Milestone Rewards

The Season Milestones are new to FIFA 22 and are a way to earn additional rewards in Division Rivals just by playing Rivals matches.

Milestone Rewards will arrive as soon as Season 1 ends and the next season begins.
