Furthermore, a few months ago, Riot Games also hired one "Associate Console Playtest Analyst", whose role consists of testing and evaluating the game on multiple consoles.

This can indicate the game is in an advanced development stage, and players should be thrilled about this news, as it could mean Valorant for consoles might be closer than ever.

Valorant console release date

A developer video released at the beginning of 2023 gave us a little insight into when Valorant would be coming to consoles but didn't provide a specific date.

However, with the latest news that console playtesting is set to start in early 2024, we should expect the game to come shortly, possibly at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.

Riot Games has also hired plenty of new people to work on this project, recently hiring a "Game Design Manager, Console" and "Senior Game Designer, Console". This confirms the development of Valorant for consoles is in full force!

Since Riot Games is in a partnership with Microsoft, Xbox will probably be the first console to receive the game. But we still have to wait some time until that information is confirmed.

As of right now, there is still no official date for the launch of Valorant on consoles. Hopefully, that information will be disclosed soon.

However, taking into consideration all the information available as of right now, we expect Valorant to arrive at consoles in late 2024 or early 2025. But this is just our guess.

With playtesting almost underway, it seems it's just a matter of time until the console version of Valorant gets a launch date.

Is Valorant currently on console?

Currently, Valorant is only available on PC, just like many other huge Riot Games titles. League of Legends is available in the Xbox Games Pass, but the game is still not playable on consoles. Only Wild Rift has been confirmed to release on multiple consoles, such as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

Since Valorant is such a popular game, with a growing esports scene, it's surprising that it isn't yet on any major consoles. However, Riot Games has been working hard to bring the game to consoles, and its arrival is close.
