NBA 2K22 has dropped a bucket of new information about features in this year's game, and that includes the return of MyNBA and MyWNBA.
We've got all the details you need ahead of the NBA 2K22 release date, including MyGM and MyLEAGUE coming back for current gen gamers.
MyNBA and MyWNBA stay next gen exclusive in NBA 2K22
While we haven't learned many details about how they'll look this year, with these franchise mode options having just been added to the series less than a year ago, it's unlikely they'll see drastic changes.
Many of the same customization options should be available in NBA 2K22, allowing you to manage a franchise or league as a whole in whatever way you choose.
MyGM and MyLEAGUE return to current gen once again
MyNBA and MyWNBA aimed to unify these two game modes, making both of them better at every turn while maximizing the amount of options players have to work with.
Meanwhile, MyGM and MyLEAGUE didn't even earn a passing mention in today's features reveal for NBA 2K22, and got mentioned just once during the Q&A with developers.
Erick Boenisch of Visual Concepts confirmed that MyLEAGUE and MyGM will return for current gen, mentioned there there were some tune-ups and bug fixes based on community feedback, and that was pretty much it.
New features to be revealed in September
As of right now, things are fairly "wait and see" when it comes to MyNBA, MyWNBA, MyLEAGUE, and MyGM for NBA 2K22.
We know they'll be in the game, and we know there are supposed to be upgrades, but no details have been given past that.
In today's Courtside Report by 2K Sports detailing the new features coming to NBA 2K22, they did specify at the very end that "more details will be shared in early September for how MyNBA/MyWNBA will improve and expand."
Early September is a fairly small window too, considering the game is currently set for a release date of Friday, September 10, 2021.
Hopefully we'll get a real idea of how these game modes might be improved in NBA 2K22 with a deep dive or trailer earlier that month.
