NOTHING BUT NET: When can gamers get their hands on NBA 2K22?

September has been the standard for NBA 2K games for quite some time, and the last three editions of NBA 2K have landed during the first week of September - so 2K is keeping some consistency in a very inconsistent time in gaming.

NBA 2K22 Demo

While there isn't typically a beta for NBA 2K games, last year's NBA 2K21 did see a proper demo released a little over a week prior to launch.

This demo featured the new MyPLAYER Builder, and gave players a chance to test things out - something that would be fantastic for NBA 2K22 as well.

The demo for NBA 2K21 arrived on August 24, 2020, which means a potential demo for NBA 2K22 would likely follow a similar time frame - as the release dates for both games also line up perfectly.

If we do get a demo for NBA 2K22, it'll probably land between August 27, 2021 and September 3, 2021, just ahead of the NBA 2K22 Release Date.

Early Access

While it's become a new standard in sports games to provide early access to players who choose to get a pre order of the title, NBA 2K hasn't stuck with that trend.

GAME TIME: Will players be able to get early access to NBA 2K22?

NBA 2K21 didn't provide early access to the full title, but instead chose the route of giving players the demo in the week before release.

This has remained true so far with NBA 2K22 pre order rewards not featuring early access.

Pre Order

NBA 2K22 is officially available to pre order now from any of the following links!

You can head here to find more details on what's provided and pre order now.

NBA 2K21 made the first leap onto Next Gen consoles with a release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it came following the game's initial launch on current gen consoles and platforms.

Last year, we saw NBA 2K21 release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Those platforms have rung true once again, as NBA 2K22 will release worldwide on all of them with only Xbox Series X|S and PS5 being considered next gen.
