NBA 2K22 Gameplay Trailer Countdown
The NBA 2K22 Gameplay Trailer isn't live yet, but we expect it to drop on Tuesday, August 31 at 11am ET. Which is a little bit over a week away from the September 10th release date.
We've come up with this preliminary date because of the tweet released by @NBA2K, the account responsible for all NBA 2K news and development.
As you can see, the week of August 30 will include gameplay reveals which is likely when we'll get our first NBA 2K22 Gameplay Trailer. We'll likely get a glimpse at new animations that were mentioned in a series of deleted tweets.

What should we expect from the gameplay trailer?
Considering we're rapidly approaching the NBA 2K22 release date, expect the NBA 2K22 Gameplay Trailer to have tons of information. We especially know to expect new animations based on size.
This was found out in a series of deleted tweets by Gameplay Director Mike Wang. We also know that in terms of control, dribbling will be more similar to NBA 2K20 than NBA 2K21. These new mechanics should be shown in the gameplay trailer dropping soon.
Here's a couple of stand out features in these tweets:
- 99 OVR sticking around for NBA 2K22
- Current and Next gen will look similar on-court
- Seasonal Animation content for MyPLAYERs
There is tons of information in these leaks including new shooting mechanics that should delight fans of NBA 2K. Hopefully, they'll do a deep dive into these updates in the NBA 2K22 Gameplay Trailer.
