Cover Athlete & Trailer Revealed
We've learned the official MLB The Show 22 cover athlete will be none other than Shohei Ohtani, and in reality there was no other choice.
At just 27-years-old, Shohei Ohtani put on a year for the ages in 2021 by finishing the season as an All-Star, All-MLB First Team, AP Athlete of the Year, and American League MVP.
He also won the Silver Slugger Award, Edgar Martinez Award, and Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award, further solidifying him as the biggest superstar in baseball today.
This very first trailer focuses entirely on the reveal of Shohei Ohtani, and it highlights some of what has made his career so special and why he's earned this honor.
More trailers and early looks at MLB The Show 22 were released in the subsequent days and weeks, and you can find them all here.
