Yelan Banner Breaks Sales Records

Yelan's launch hype is debatable, but one thing that isn't is the sheer amount of sales her banner, Discerner of Enigmas, has already generated!

Yelan has set a new sales record in Genshin Impact for day one sales, edging out Raiden Shogun for the top spot.

It took almost a year for a character to overpass the success achieved by the Raiden Shogun. She is not alone, though, along with Yelan, Genshin Impact 2.7 features Xiao, the last of the Yakshas.

Xiao Second Rerun

The case of Xiao is very peculiar, he is also breaking a record this time around. Never before has a character receive a rerun just after two updates.

Xiao was part of Genshin Impact 2.4. However, his sudden return is justified by Xiao playing a crucial role in the new Archon Story: Perilous Trail.

Signals of Recovery for Genshin Impact

The most surprising part of Yelan/Xiao breaking the record is the timing. Genshin Impact is back after a forced hiatus from the COVID-19 situation in China.

This triumphant return answers many questions fans asked of the popular game during its break, and is exactly what Hoyoverse needed to set the record straight.
