Genshin Impact 2.8 is still on the way, but we can start raising our expectations with exciting news coming from official sources and data miners.
Version 2.8 will be the last update before the arrival of Sumeru, the Dendro Nation. So we can expect the first glimpse of what is coming next in the game.
In the meantime, here's everything we know so far about Genshin Impact 2.8.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Release Date
If Hoyoverse is back on track, we expect Genshin Impact 2.8 to go live on June 22, 2022.
However, the date is subject to change, as Genshin Impact 2.7 is still not here due to the COVID lockdown in Shanghai.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Character Banners
Version 2.8 will be packed with reruns. Players have been waiting for these characters for months.
Kazuha, the 5-star Anemo, is one of the most popular and powerful characters. Suitable for most teams, coincidentally, Kazuha debuted during version 1.6 along with the Golden Apple Archipelago.
The other returning characters, Klee and Yoimiya, belong to the Pyro Element, and both have an affinity for explosions.
But perhaps the biggest news is the arrival of Heizou. Thanks to drip marketing, now we know Heizou is an Anemo 4-star character, most likely the first Male Catalyst user.
For Genshin Impact 2.8, Hoyoverse is reintroducing the Golden Apple Archipelago, a temporary region that was the transition from Liyue to Inazuma.
Even though the Archipelago will be back, we are receiving new islands and mechanisms, possibly introducing some map items we will see in Sumeru.
The last time players visit the Golden Apple Archipelago, we get the first alternative outfits. The summer attires for Jean and Barbara. It seems Hoyoverse is repeating the formula.
New skins for Diluc and Fischl have been in the making for a while. There is a possibility they will be finally launch during the version 2.8
