The Genshin Impact 2.7 Special Program signaled the end of delays, offering news about the upcoming content in the game
In particular, the stream touched on the main event of Genshin Impact 2.7, Perilous Trail, which is simultaneously the next step for the Archon story. In this new adventure, the traveler will join forces with Yelan, the brand-new character arriving in the next update.

LATEST: When does the Perilous Trail event end?
The interlude Archon quest Perilous Trail, which includes Yanfei, Itto, Yelan and Kuki, is permanently available after the release of Genshin Impact 2.7.
The event's combat challenges, however, Realms of Guile and War are a temporary event. This means the stages and their rewards will only be around for a limited time, and will soon end entirely, so make sure you get to them in time!

What is the Perilous Trail Event?
The next chapter of the Archon Quest and Main Event of Genshin Impact 2.7, Perilous Trail, will take players to the depths of The Chasm.
In this event, travelers will try to escape from a mysterious domain with the help of Yelan, Kuki Shinobu, Itto, and Yanfei.
During this quest travelers will also run into the only remaining Yaksha, Xiao, as we investigate a dark but familiar energy.
It seems that the person behind the domain is the Electro Yaksha Bosacius, who was missing after disappearing from the last battle of the Yakshas.
The presence of Xiao is not exclusive to this event, as he will also be part of the Genshin Impact 2.7 banners. Besides the story, Perilous Trail will introduce a unique combat challenge to spice things up as well.
Perilous Trail Combat Challenges
During the combat phase of Perilous Trails, players will battle against mobs of enemies in teams of four.
After completing one stage, the team party will need to change. Only one character can continue while the other three need to recover.
Travelers will need to make use of most of their roster of characters, although, the event will also provide Trial Characters, including Yelan.
This is an excellent opportunity to try Yelan before pulling for her, a very confident move from Hoyoverse.
The main reward will be the 4-star Bow Fading Twilight and the Refinement Material Glowing Gems.
Fading Twilight
The main event of Genshin Impact 2.7 will give a new 4-star bow called Fading Twilight as a gift for completing challenges.
The new 4-star bow will have the following stats:
- Fading Twilight
- Base ATK Lv. 90 - 565
- Secondary Stat Lv. 90 - 30.6% Energy Recharge.
- Passive R5: The weapon has three states: Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze increase DMG 6%/10%/14%, respectively.
- When attacks hit enemies, the weapon will switch state every 7 seconds. The character can trigger the effect even being outfield.
It seems like a very universal bow that can be useful by most bow characters in the game - so it'll be a great pickup through the Perilous Trail event.
