Genshin Impact 2.5 Banners: Yae Miko, Ayato, Raiden & Kokomi

The introduction of new characters is one of the biggest attractions in Genshin Impact. With an ever-growing roster, miHoYo is speeding up the rotation of the gacha system, adding more banners per update as well.

We are just a couple of weeks away from the arrival of Genshin Impact 2.5 banners, and they will introduce some of the most highly anticipated characters in the game's history!

Here is everything we know about the upcoming update and the Genshin Impact 2.5 Livestream, including when they'll release and which characters they'll feature.

Release Date

Genshin Impact 2.5 is expected is going live on February 16, 2022, running until March 30, 2022.

Every Genshin Impact update runs a six-week cycle, divided into two phases, so we'll see sets of Banners on the update's launch and at its halfway point.

First Phase Banners

Genshin Impact 2.5's first banner Everbloom Violet will go live on February 16, 2021 at 11:00 am server time (Chinese Standard Time).

This breaks down to the following release times:

  • February 15, 2022, 7:00 pm PST
  • February 15, 2022, 10:00 pm EST
  • February 16, 2022, 03:00 am GMT

Everbloom Violet will feature Yae Miko as the new 5-star Electro Catalyst character. The Head Priestess of Narukami Shrine will have a Story Quest in Ver. 2.5 called Divina Vulpes.

Along with Yae Miko, the chances of pulling the following 4-star characters will be increased:

  • Thoma - 4-star Pyro, Polearm User
  • Dionna - 4-star Cryo, Bow User
  • Fischl - 4-star Electro, Bow User

POWER UP: These are the the weapons in the first banner

First Weapon Banner

The first weapon banner of Genshin Impact 2.5 will introduce a new 5-star catalyst called Kagura's Verity, the signature weapon of Yae Miko. The catalyst resembles a Kagura Suzu.

The Primordial Jade Cutter completes is the second 5-star weapon. The Jade Cutter sword is one of the best in the game.

Additionally, the first Epitome Invocation will include the following 4-star weapons:

  • Wavebreaker Fin - Polearm
  • Sacrificial Sword - Sword
  • Rainslasher - Claymore
  • Eye of Perception - Catalyst
  • The Stringless - Bow

This is a very interesting weapon banner, the 5-stars are useful for several characters. The Stringless, Sacrificial Sword, and Wavebreaker Fin are some of the best 4-star weapons in the game.

Second Phase Banners

Raiden will have a second Quest Story in Genshin Impact 2.5 called Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter 1: Act 2 Transient Dreams.

In addition, Raiden Shogun will be the new weekly boss and the first rerun banner in the second phase. We can speculate Kujou Sara will be back as one of the 4-star characters.

Kokomi Rerun

The third character banner of Genshin Impact 2.5 will feature the rerun of Sangonomiya Kokomi. She is also playing a role in the main event of the ver. 2.5 Three Realms Gateway.

Second Weapon Banner

Raiden Shogun and Kokomi reruns confirmed the second weapon banner of Genshin Impact 2.5 would feature their signature weapons.

The Polearm Engulfing Lighting and Catalyst Everlasting Moonglow will be the 5-star options.

ATK increased by 56% of Energy Recharge over the base 100%. You can gain a maximum bonus of 120% ATK. Gain 50% Energy Recharge for 12s after using an Elemental Burst.

Healing Bonus increased by 20%, Normal Attack DMG is increased by 3.0% of the Max HP of the character equipping this weapon. For 12s after using an Elemental Burst, Normal Attacks that hit opponents will restore 0.6 Energy. Energy can be restored this way once every 0.1s.

The second phase of Genshin Impact 2.5 will go live on March 9, 2022.

Kazuha Rerun and Ayato

Unfortunately, there is no rerun for Kazuha in Genshin Impact 2.5. as miHoYo is reducing the number of Character Banners to three again.

Perhaps, trying to don't steal the thunder of Yae Miko's big debut.

It is possible Kazuha is joining Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact 2.6 when the action takes place in the new area The Chasm.
