Southampton has been dicing with danger in the last few Premier League seasons, always just managing to avoid the drop.
The Saints have it all to do once again, with few improvements to their starting XI, and we predict their three highest-rated players on FIFA 23 will be:
James Ward-Prowse (OVR 81)
Once again James Ward-Prowse will be the highest-rated player for The Saints.
This season could be a real struggle for them, with their captain the only player rated above 80 OVR.
Oriol Romeu (OVR 78)
We'll be honest, the Southampton team isn't one to get excited about, with Oriol Romeu set to be their second-best player.
A 78 OVR will probably be his once again, but he lacks any sort of pace so will likely go unused whatever mode you play.
Romain Perraud (OVR 77)
Romain Perraud is one of a few players we think will get a 77 OVR in FIFA 23 but is perhaps the only one who might survive the chop in Career Mode.
Southampton has spent £50 million so far in bringing six new players to the club, however, we only think one of them will impact the first team straight away.
Coming from Rangers, Joe Aribo is the best rated of the lot, with four of the others all 20 years old or younger, showing that the side is prepping for the future.

We don't see many upgrades coming to the Southampton squad ahead of FIFA 23.
The main one, and one of the biggest increases we will likely see in the game, is for Tino Livramento, who could see a mammoth boost from 61 OVR to 74 OVR.

Again, we doubt there will be many downgrades coming to the Southampton squad either.
The biggest is likely to be to Theo Walcott, who got very little game time last campaign.
