It doesn't stop there, because, with his 91 OVR, he is also the joint best-rated player in FIFA 23!
Mohamed Salah (OVR 90)
Mohamed Salah received a rather strange downgrade at the start of FIFA 22, however, this has been rectified in FIFA 23 with a 90 OVR handed to him.
He was the joint-winner of the Golden Boot and finished as Liverpool's top scorer and provided the most assists.
Virgil van Dijk (OVR 90)
We don't think the Dutch defender has been as imperious as in previous seasons, although Virgil van Dijk did see his rating increase to a 90 OVR in FIFA 22 updates, and will start FIFA 23 with that rating.
He is the best-rated defender in the game and will continue bullying attackers and dominating ariel duels.
Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 90)
Cristiano Ronaldo may have since left the Premier League, but this card is still floating around in Ultimate Team.
Not only that, but you can rewind time in Career Mode by selecting to use the initial squads, which will see Ronaldo return to Manchester United and allow you to redefine the final years of this man's illustrious career.
Heung Min Son (OVR 89)
Heung Min Son enjoyed another fantastic season, sharing the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah.
That wasn't enough to see his rating increase, with the South Korean not yet joining the 90 club.
Casemiro (OVR 89)
Manchester United's new signing will bring some great experience to the side, after winning FIVE Champions Leagues with Real Madrid.
Surprisingly, he hasn't slotted straight in as a starter, but it is surely just a matter of time.
Alisson (OVR 89)
Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers around and he retains his 89 OVR.
He shared the Premier League Golden Glove last season with his national teammate and club rival Ederson.
Harry Kane (OVR 89)
Harry Kane has received a downgrade in FIFA 23, with the England captain falling to 89 OVR.
He didn't break 20 Premier League goals last campaign, but his playmaking ability is now integral to the way Spurs go about their attacks.
Ederson (OVR 89)
The Brazilian came in for some stick last season, but Ederson is still one of the best goalkeepers around and gets an 89 OVR.
There isn't much between him and Alisson, with the ratings mirroring that, with the two on equal standings.
N'Golo Kante (OVR 89)
N'Golo Kante didn't have the best season of his career and has seen his rating slip to 89 OVR because of it.
When he is fit there are very few in world football who can rival him in midfield.
