The much talked about FUT Captains promo has finally been confirmed for FIFA 22 Ultimate Team!
Leakers had previously 'confirmed' the new event, which would see upgrades to the FUT Heroes cards being released, however, we have waited a long time for anything to materialise.
Now the leaks are coming in fast, so check out the new cards and find out all the details about the next event.
Latest - FULL TEAM 1 LEAKED
We've seen many of these players doing the rounds on socials already, and here they all are in one simple graphic!
The FUT Heroes have received some mighty upgrades and are definitely good enough for the current meta now.
All the players included in the tweet should be released into packs, with leaks suggesting that Fernandinho will gain an SBC and Lars Stindl a card via objectives.
No Ginola
A list of all the FUT Heroes who are set to receive upgraded cards during the FUT Captains promo has been revealed.
The big news is that David Ginola has not made the cut.
He is a rare FUT Heroes card that is still seeing play in the game, so it is surprising not to see his name included.
We may see him get an upgrade, but for now, it looks unlikely.
PIM SBCs
One of the big events that is stated to come is the daily release of Prime Icon Moments SBCs, again, playing off the captain theme.
If we are to see daily SBCs then there should be 14 PIM cards made available during the promo.
So far, we have four names:

- Javier Zanetti (OVR 93)
- Bastian Schweinsteiger (OVR 93)
First SBC Player Leaked
We have one man who is 'confirmed' to come via SBC during the FUT Captains promo.
Manchester City's Fernandinho is that man mentioned, and he is set to gain a big 91 OVR card.
It will be interesting to see how the SBC will be priced, as his Premier League and Brazilian links could make him very popular.
Team 2 Already
FUTZone had already leaked Sergio Busquets was coming during the promo, stating that the card would be released as part of Team 2.
Fut Sheriff has followed up on that, showing off the Barca man's brilliant stats.
The massive pace upgrade previously mentioned by FUTZone has indeed come, as have outstanding stats in passing, dribbling and defending!

Release Date
The Fantasy FUT promo was the last major event to end, when cards rotated out of packs on Friday, 1 April.
The Showdown Series promotion replaced Fantasy FUT, although it is one that is strictly limited to the Squad Building Challenge, and doesn't contain any packable cards.
This is scheduled to come to an end on Thursday, 7 April, with the FUT Captains promotion coming the following day.
It is set to be a two-week promo, with the loading screen announcing Team 1 is coming soon, with the first squad looking to arrive at 1pm ET / 6pm BST on Friday, 8 April.
FUT Captains
It turned out that TrustyFutTrader wasn't so trustworthy when they announced that FUT Captains would be the next promo in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team on Thursday, 10 February.
Despite the time frame being wrong, an upgrade to FUT Heroes cards looks to be coming, which could still involve the same concept that was leaked.
The thought was current FUT Heroes who captained their club or country will feature in the event, receiving "insane" upgrades.
It is now understood that the Ultimate Team promo will feature more than just the new variants of the FUT Heroes, with present-day captains also in line to feature.
This is a brand new promo in FUT, so we are excited to see what EA has in store for us.
As well as the squads being released into packs, expect to see SBCs and objective players coming too, to make the celebration as big as possible!
Reliable leaker Fut Sheriff has revealed that daily Icon Moments SBCs will be released as part of the FUT Captains campaign in Ultimate Team.
We can expect to see memorable club and national team captains' Moments cards released as SBCs.
