Madden 22 is just days away from launch, and many are already focused on whether EA Play could offer bonuses including free access to the full game.
We've got all the details on how soon you can get in on the action and whether or not Madden 22 is free with EA Play.
Is Madden 22 free with EA Play?
No, the full game for Madden 22 is not available for free with EA Play. However, subscribers do get access to a 10-hour trial of the game.
The EA Play Trial will go live on August 12, 2021, over a full week before the official release date of August 20, 2021.
The full game is expected to be playable with this trial, but it will be locked with that 10-hour time limit and become unplayable when that time expires.
In order to keep playing when you've run out of time in the EA Play Trial, you'll have to purchase Madden 22 on your platform of choice.
If you blaze through the 10-hour trial before launch day, you can pre order the Dynasty Edition or MVP Edition of Madden 22 to get back onto the digital gridiron as early as August 17, 2021.
Madden 22 on PC with EA Play Pro
One piece of the puzzle that could be confusing many is EA Play Pro and the ability to access the full game on PC, which varies from the way the trial works on other platforms.
Rather than getting a time-limited EA Play Trial, players on PC can actually get fully unlocked version of Madden 22 on August 12 if they're EA Play Pro subscribers.
However, that is only available if you've also placed a pre order for the Madden 22 Dynasty Edition on PC, and just being an EA Play Pro subscriber alone will not give you the full game.
It's likely that locking the trial to a timed window is more difficult to police on PC, and as such they've chosen to offset the lack of a trial by incentivizing PC players to start early by nabbing the Dynasty Edition and being an EA Play Pro subscriber.
Either way, you won't be able to snag the full version of Madden 22 long-term without taking the step of purchasing or pre ordering, even with an EA Play subscription.
