The debut of a new Genshin Impact Archon is very near; Nahida, the deity of the Dendro Element, is less than two weeks away.

Nahida, the human vessel of the Dendro Archon, is a 5-star Catalyst character, and her powerful catalyst, A Thousand Floating Dreams, will arrive when she does.

Release Date

The new Sword, Light of Foliar Sanction, will be featured in the first Epitome Invocation of Genshin Impact 3.4, which will go live on 18 January 2023.

Along with Alhaitham's signature weapon, the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear will be the rerun that will complete the roster of 5-star weapons of the first banner.

Light of Foliar Sanction Details

The signature weapon of Alhaitham, the scribe of the Akademiya, is designed as a sword made of roots from the leyline with the color green and white.

Alhaitham Sword Stats

  • Base ATK - 542
  • Secondary Stat: 88.2 Crit. DMG

Passive at Refinement 5

  • CRIT Rate is increased by 8%.
  • When Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Sanction effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 320% of Elemental Mastery.
    • The effect will disappear after 20 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Sanction once every 12s.

The weapon will have solid stats by providing Crit. DMG and Crit. Rate increase. But to reach its full potential, it needs to be used with characters that rely on Normal and Charged Attacks.

Light of Foliar Sanction - Genshin Impact Materials

For those planning to pull for the new Genshin Impact sword, these materials are required to level the weapon to Level 90.

Talisman of the Dew Series

Players can obtain these Weapon Materials from Sumeru's new Domain of Forgery, Tower of Abject Pride, on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.

For a Light of Foliar Sanction to max level, players need to collect the following:

  • 9 Copper Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • 14 Iron Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • 14 Silver Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • 6 Golden Talisman of the Forest Dew

Shells Pieces

Unfortunately, the new enemies in Genshin Impact 3.4 called Consecrated Beast will drop the shell's materials necessary to ascend the weapon. Therefore we can not pre-farm these items.

  • A level 90 Light of Foliar Sanction requires:
    • 23 Desiccated Shell
    • 27 Sturdy Shell

Red Clothing

The red clothing series materials are dropped by the Eremites, a human faction that can be found patrolling the roads or in camps between regions in Sumeru.

They can also be found in many regions of the King Deshret desert. These are the materials need it for the new weapon.

  • 19 Faded Red Satin
  • 23 Trimmed Red Silk
  • 27 Faded Red Satin
