Genshin Impact 1.5 Update Introduces Yanfei

Genshin Impact 1.5 is finally here, bringing the new 4-star Pyro Catalyst user, Yanfei!

Here's our guide to get ahead on farming her items and ascend to level 90 as quick as you can.

Latest - Update Now Live

The Genshin Impact 1.5 update is now live in game, and servers are back up for players to try out the new content and changes!

If your game doesn't automatically start the new 1.5 update, follow these steps for each platform below:

• PC: Close the game, open the Genshin Impact Launcher, and click Update.
• iOS: Open the App Store and tap Update.
• Android: Open the game and follow the directions on-screen.
• PS4: Highlight Genshin Impact from the PS4 Home Screen, press the OPTIONS button and select "Check for Update."

Farming Items for Yanfei Ascension

Reddit user u/DevilTakoyaki figured out everything Genshin Impact players need in order to get Yanfei to Level 90, as well as raising her Talents up to Level 10.

As players can see from the image above, it is quite a lot of items requiring plenty of boss battles with the Pyro Regisvine, the Primo Geovishap, and the new Azhdaha.

Talent Books

Yanfei requires "Gold" talent books to level her Talents.

• x9 Teachings of "Gold"
• x63 Guide to "Gold"
• x114 Philosophies of "Gold"

Each of these books is obtainable from the Taishan Mansion Domain near Jueyen Karst and can be farmed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Players must be at least Adventure Rank 26 to access the domain.

Boss Drops

The items Yanfei needs from boss drops are as follows:

• x1 Agnidus Agate Sliver
• x9 Agnidus Agate Fragment
• x9 Agnidus Agate Chunk
• x6 Agnidus Agate Gemstone
• x46 Juvenile Jade
• x18 Bloodjade Branch

Juvenile Jade is currently only available by defeating the Primo Geovishap.

Bloodjade Branch is an exclusive drop from the upcoming Azdhaha boss, which will require completing Act II of Zhongli's Story Quest to unlock.

Agnidus Agate is acquired by defeating the Pyro Regisvine, as well as the Primo Geovishap.

It is also available at the Souvenir Shops in Mondstat and Liyue, as there is a chance that the weekly Wolf of the North Boss will drop some.

Treasure Hoarder Insignias and Noctilucous Jade

Treasure Hoarder Insignias are required to ascend Yanfei as well as upgrade her Talents. Overall players will need:

• x35 Treasure Hoarder Insignia
• x129 Silver Raven Insignia
• x96 Golden Raven Insignia

As their name implies, these items are dropped by Treasure Hoarders.

Treasure Hoarder Insignias are dropped by any Treasure Hoarder, while Silver and Golden insignias are dropped by Level 40+ and Level 60+ Treasure Hoarders respectively.

Yanfei also requires 168 Noctilucous Jade, which is found in Mingyun Village and Mt. Tianheng in good quantities.

The above map marks all the locations in Teyvat where Noctilucous Jade spawns.

Noctilucous Jade is also available in limited quantities from Shitou at Jade Mystery in Liyue.

Keep in mind Noctilucus Jade respawns every three days.

Crown of Insight

Each upgradable Talent in Genshin Impact requires one Crown of Insight to max out at Level 10.

This means Yanfei needs 3 of them in order to max out her Talents.

Unfortunately, a Crown of Insight is not easy to come by, as they are only available in Event Shops, such as the recent Invitation of Windbloom.

Outside of events, there is one Crown of Insight available by upgrading the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine to Level 11.
