Three new Monsters arrive in Genshin Impact today

The new Genshin Impact update is finally here and there's a lot going on. We've got Serenitea Pots, a new in-game event starting and Zhongli is back!

However, it isn't all fun and games... There are new creatures to face and we have everything you need to know about the new monsters coming to Teyvat.

NEW Genshin Impact 1.5 Boss Information

Genshin Impact 1.5 is introducing three new Boss Monsters to Teyvat and we have the low-down on everything that you need to know about them.

We don't know fully how tough they'll be but we do know a little bit about each one and where to find them.

Cryo Hypostasis

Elemental creatures who protect themselves from incoming attack with their durable shell.

• Find an opportune moment to land a blow to their elemental core.
• At critical moments, they will enter a shielded regenerative state, firing Frostfruits to attack their foes while restoring their own HP.
• Use Charged Attacks to redirect the Frostfruits back at the Cryo Hypostasis to knock it out of its regenerative state swiftly.

Location: Entombed City - Outskirts

Azhdaha

In an age that has all but faded from memory, he stood shoulder to shoulder with one who ruled over a harbor of stone. But in the end, the two came into conflict, and the dragon was banished to a dark place deep underground.

Over the long years of his imprisonment, his power has slowly dissipated. He has also become disfigured from the various kinds of erosion he has been subjected to.

The faint rattling of this dragon lord's shackles and his deep, angry growl echo through the bowels of the mountains like memories of a bygone era.

Location: Nantianmen

Abyss Lector - Violet Lightning

A creature of the Abyss Order that calls upon thunder and lightning in praise of the darkness.

• It possesses some ability to disrupt elemental powers, and some of its attacks will drain characters' Elemental Energy when dealing DMG to them.

Location: Spiral Abyss

Genshin Impact 1.5 Weekly Boss - Azhdaha

Previously leaked, Azhdaha is a dual-element boss that is part of Zhongli's storyline.

A large, dragonlike boss, Azhdaha was previously imprisoned by Zhongli and seems to be released by a small child, to what ends are unknown right now.

Once defeated, Azhdaha will become a weekly boss fight, similar to Stormterror and Childe.

Genshin Impact 1.5 Cryo Hypostasis

Genshin Impact players know what to expect when it comes to Hypostasis bosses.

The Cryo Hypostasis will be available to battle in Dragonspine and will have use attacks similar to other Hypostasis.

Items required to ascend Eula will drop from the new Hypostasis, making it required fighting for those looking to play the new 5-Star Cryo character.

Genshin Impact 1.5 Spiral Abyss Boss - Abyss Lector

"These are the evangelists and the disciples of the Abyss. Their violent lightning strikes the hearts of unbelievers with dark wisdom, warped by the shadowy depths of an eternal night, its violet glow proclaiming the existence of a great power that corrodes human intellect."

From what fans have seen in the Chinese Livestream, the Abyss Lector seems to be a boss that is fought in the Spiral Abyss.

Highly intelligent, this Electro boss poses more of a threat than the Abyss Herald with powerful-looking attacks and a much-improved range.
