Genshin Impact 2.4 will soon arrive with a ton of new content for travelers to enjoy, including 4 Character Banners, the new Enkanomiya region, a free 4-Star Character, New Outfits for Ningguang and Keqing, and plenty more.
But before players can see all of the new additions, Genshin Impact servers will go down for maintenance to get the update live.
Here is everything players need to know about the Genshin Impact 2.4 maintenance schedule including server status, free Primogem rewards, and all of the latest news approaching launch.
Genshin Impact 2.4 Server Maintenance Schedule
Genshin Impact 2.4 will go live on, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at server time
- January 4, 7:00 pm PST
- January 4, 10:00 pm EST
- January 5, 03:00 am GMT
Before it goes live, however, there will be a period of server maintenance ahead of Genshin Impact 2.4.
The Genshin Impact 2.4 maintenance will take servers offline starting at 6 am server time, and will likely run for 5 hours.
Players will receive a compensation of 300 Primogems for this time, and if it's extended, more Primogems will be distributed.
Genshin Impact 2.4 Character Banners
Shenhe's, The Transcendent One Returns, and Xiao's, Invitation to Mundane Life will also go live on January 5, 2021
The two banners will feature the same 4-star characters and, the pity is shared between the two.
The chances of pulling the following 4-star characters will be increased:
- Yun Jin - 4-star Geo, Polearm User (New Character)
- Ningguang - 4-star Geo, Catalyst User
- Chongyun - 4-star Cryo, Claymore User
The second set of Character Event Banners will feature two re-runs, Ganyu -star Cryo Bow user and Zhong-Li Geo Polearm User.
Genshin Impact 2.4 Preload Available Now
Genshin Impact players can start preloading the next update. The new Genshin Impact 2.4 file size is 3.75Gb for Android and IOS and around 6.0Gb for PC players.

After a patch with no new region, Genshin Impact 2.4 will introduce Enkanomiya, an abysmal world where Orobashi was a deity.

As mentioned above, Fleeting Colors in Flight will be the significant event of Genshin Impact 2.4, featuring Lantern Rite celebration, with a Free -4star Liyue character, Ningguan New Outfit, and a New Boss Challenge with a three head hydra.
