The fourth update is about to arrive in Genshin Impact!
Version 1.4 will bring new characters, quests, weapons and more - but what do we know so far?

Genshin Impact 1.4 Patch Notes
The official Genshin Impact 1.4 patch notes start with the announcement of Rosaria as a new Cryo Polearm character.
While this is not new information, the notes outline her information, as well as her official title: 4-Star Character "Thorny Benevolence" Rosaria (Cryo).
New equipment follows with the Elegy for the End (5-Star Bow), The Alley Flash (4-Star Sword), Wine and Song (4-Star Catalyst), Alley Hunter (4-Star Bow), Windblume Ode (4-Star Bow.)
Players can obtain the Windblume Ode by taking part in the Invitation of Windblume event.
A new Event Wish "Epitome Invocation," containing elevated chances of snagging the event-exclusive 5-star bow Elegy for the End, 5-star sword Skyward Blade, event-exclusive 4-star sword The Alley Flash, and event-exclusive 4-star catalyst Wine and Song will be the first weapon banner to feature in 1.4.
Rounding out the major updates is the Invitation of Windblume flagship event that runs from March 19th through April 5th, with the Event Shop remaining open until April 12.
The event challenges players to earn Festive Tour Tickets and Peculiar Collab Coupons that can be used in the Event Shop.
Genshin Impact 1.4 Quests and Features
The introduction of Hangout Events is outlined in the Genshin Impact 1.4 Patch Notes.
After meeting certain requirements, Genshin Impact players will have the ability to hang out with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chonguyn using Story Keys.
Players must be Adventure Level 26 or higher to unlock these events.
Several new quests are also outlined:
- Archon Quest: Chapter I: Act IV - We Will Be Reunited
- 8 new World Quests available until April 5th, 2021
The ability for players to lower their World Level after reaching World Level 5 will unlock.
Also, after reading Adventure Level 60, any additional EXP will convert to Mora at a rate of 10 More per Adventure Experience point.
Genshin Impact 1.4 Adjustments and Optimizations

Genshin Impact will go down for maintenance in preparation for the 1.4 release on Tuesday, 16 March, at 6pm ET / 10pm GMT and should last approximately five hours.
Once complete, players will be awarded 300 Primogems to compensate for the downtime as long as they are Adventure Rank 5 or higher.
