Release Date & Time
FUT Birthday has replaced the short FUT Ballers event in FUT 23, going live on Friday, 24 March.
Like always, the event went live at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
Keep an eye out on Sunday, 26 March for a mini-release which could see some additional items added to packs!
These players will stay in packs for one week only, with a Team 2 expected to be released on Friday, 31 March.
As in previous years, FUT Birthday is expected to run for two weeks, with the new Trophy Titans event reported to follow.
The nine players included in FUT Birthday Team 1 have all received a Weak Foot or Skill move boost, with Joao Felix and Alban Lafont receiving both!
Man City midfielder Bernardo Silva is the highest-rated player in the release with a huge 93 OVR and 5-Star Weak Foot.
PSG's Brazilian defender Marquinhos has also received a healthy upgrade to a 91 OVR, and he could be the perfect partner for the incredible Sergio Ramos Flashback item released earlier in the season.
Veteran German star Thomas Muller has also received a 91 OVR item, although the 84 Pace may put fans off using the Bayern Munich midfielder.
Icon Team 1
This is not your regular promo as EA has released eight new Icon items to celebrate the birthday of Ultimate Team this year.
Eric Cantona and Jairzinho have both received 5-Star upgrades to both their Weak Foot and Skill Moves, making them likely to be highly sought after commodities.
George Best with 5-Star Skill Moves and a huge 94 OVR is sure to catch the eye too!
All the Icon players included in the Team 1 release look incredible, so fingers crossed for some pack luck!
FUT Birthday Swaps
Last year a Token Swaps system accompanied the FUT Birthday event, and this year is no different!
EA released six FUT Birthday Swaps tokens in the build-up to the full launch of the event, and they have confirmed that there will be 30 swap tokens to collect.
The Swaps campaign will work just like previous events, where you gain Tokens from Objectives, SBCs and the FUT Store, then trade them in via corresponding SBCs to unlock awesome rewards.
These rewards can include promo players, Icons, player picks, and big packs!
