August Nominees Revealed
As can be found on EA's official website, the nominees for the Bundesliga Player of the Month have been revealed, with a certain Frenchman looking to carry on his dominance from the last campaign!
The nominees are as follows:
- Benjamin Pavard
- Christopher Nkunku
- Joshua Kimmich
- Vincenzo Grifo
- Jonas Hector
- Sheraldo Becker
Bayern Munich started the season strong as you'd expect, with three wins and a draw in August, including two away day hammerings of 1-6 against Frankfurt and 0-7 at VfL Bochum.
Benjamin Pavard popped up with an assist in the first game of the season and has two clean sheets to his name as well.
Christopher Nkunku dominated the POTM lists in FUT 22 and is looking to do the same this year!
He is leaked to start with an 86 OVR, which could make any potential early upgrade very tasty indeed.
As a team, RB Leipzig has only managed a win and two draws from their opening four games, however, if it wasn't for Nkunku's four goals spread across three matches they would be sitting on zero points!
We've already mentioned the strong start that Bayern have had, and Joshua Kimmich has excelled personally in that team.
A consistent start saw him contribute a goal in the first game, then an assist in the following two.
SC Freiburg currently sits top of the Bundesliga, thanks largely to the goals of Vincenzo Grifo.
Three in his first four helped the side to a trio of victories, including two games where his goals were the deciding factor, both ending up 1-0.
FC Koln's captain fantastic Jonas Hector has helped his side go unbeaten so far this season.
They will want to gather more wins, with just the one from their opening four, in which Hector supplied an assist.
Union Berlin's Sheraldo Becker is definitely the frontrunner to win the August award, with four goals and two assists in his opening four games!
He managed a brace in one and provided a goal and an assist in two others, and it looks like he will stop Nkunku from claiming the top spot.
