VOLTA Football is the final game mode to be revealed ahead of FIFA 22, and there are loads of new ways to enjoy your street football this season.
"For FIFA 22, we’ve made VOLTA FOOTBALL all about getting together with friends, and having a great time together.
"We’ve changed our core gameplay to be more rewarding when playing with flair by introducing new skills and an all new Skill Meter system, provided variety and big match moments with Signature Abilities, and created new, limited time Party Game Tournaments with VOLTA ARCADE."
With so many new features, make sure you know everything about FIFA 22 VOLTA by checking out the full details from the pitch notes right here.
All-new Skill Meter
FIFA Street is back baby! VOLTA's Skill Meter is certainly a throwback to the 'Gamebreaker' system we used to love on the original FIFA Street game.
But how does it work? The Skill Meter will increase by completing the following:
- Making a fancy pass fills up the bar by 100
- A successful wall pass awards 200
- Beating an opponent using a Skill Move is 300
- Nutmeg an opponent for 800
- Dispossessing the other team awards 100.
"The Skill Meter is broken down into 3 sections, and each section takes 1,000 Points to fill.
"It’s important to note that at the time of this article being published, the points are not necessarily final and may change before or after FIFA 22 launches.
"When the first section is filled the goal multiplier is x2, this means the next goal will count as 2 goals instead of 1.
"For those that have played some of the House Rules games in Kick Off, this should be familiar to you. The second section is x3, and the third section is x4."
"Signature Abilities are brand new, easy-to-use, game-changing abilities for you to trigger during a match.
"Whether you want to slam home thundering shots from anywhere on the pitch, blow past opponents with lightning pace, or rattle bones with crunching tackles, Signature Abilities are there to help."
Another brand-new feature for this season, we can't wait to try them out!
Deliver a 50% Shot Power boost to your player that can exceed the 99 limits to regular attributes.
This ability has a 30-second duration and 80-second cooldown period, so make sure to get your shots off!
Much like the Power Strike, the Pure Pace ability will exceed the usual ratings limit, although the exact boost is not revealed.
Burn past defenders with ease for the 15-second duration, but there is a 70-second cooldown period.
Unleash hell with the Aggressive Tackle ability as you won't get called for fouls despite delivering bone-shuddering shoulder barges and devastating tackles.
This ability can be used for 45 seconds, but has a 90-second cooldown period.
Enjoy whole new ways to play in VOLTA Football with the new party games to enjoy with your friends.
There are eight games set to be made available at launch, with more to come throughout the season!
- Foot Tennis
- Disco Lava
- Quick Strike
- Wall Ball Elimination
- Team Keepaway
- Target Gallery
- Corner Scramble
