VOLTA won't be left behind in FIFA 22 with new features inbound

There will be loads of changes in FIFA 22 and EA's newest mode VOLTA won't be left behind!

The main attractions ahead of the game are unsurprisingly Career Mode and Ultimate Team, but EA has promised changes to VOLTA too.

With Official Gameplay Reveal out now, it is a matter of time before each individual mode receives its own reveal too.

The next marker on the road to FIFA 22 is the spotlight showcase ahead of this year's EA Play Live.

The developers took us through Hypermotion Technology and what it is bringing to Next Gen consoles this year.

The event took place on Tuesday, 20 July at 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

Release Date

The release date for EA's upcoming title has finally been revealed!

After months of speculation, EA has officially announced that FIFA 22 will be released on Friday, 1 October 2021.

VOLTA Reveal Coming Soon

There have been some new features mentioned for other game modes on EA's official site, but for VOLTA the statement reads pretty vague.

"VOLTA FOOTBALL returns with more flair all over the pitch and new ways to express your style and connect with your squad in street football playgrounds all over the world."

This does not say a whole lot, but we will likely see some new tricks, arenas, and possibly some new ways to play.

EA Play Live

Get it in your diaries folks, EA Play Live will arrive on Thursday, 22 July.

Electronic Arts revealed the official date on Twitter and it also confirms that the event will run separately to E3 2021.

E3 2021 will begin a month earlier on Saturday, 12 June, and end on Tuesday, 15 June.

You will be able to watch on a live stream on various social channels, and at the very least we should get a first look at the FIFA 22 trailer.

The reveal trailer has got fans hyped for the upcoming release, featuring cover star Kylian Mbappe, along with top talents Trent Alexander-Arnold and Christian Pulisic.

The trailer gives us an idea of how EA will Hypermotion Technology to implement real-life player movements into FIFA 22 gameplay.
