FIFA 22: Throw it back with these FIRE Retro kits in Ultimate Team

The FUT Fantasy promo is well underway in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with the Team 1 cards out now, alongside the Icon Swaps 2 campaign.

EA has just revealed that some awesome new Retro kits will be released in FUT soon.

Check out the kits coming to Ultimate Team and how you can unlock them here.

Run it back

The official EA Sports Twitter account has revealed that eleven retro kit designs will be making a return in Ultimate Team soon.

The following teams will be given retro kits that will be made available to unlock in FUT 22:

  • Manchester City
  • Inter Milan
  • Real Madrid
  • Benfica
  • Tottenham Hotspur
  • Leeds United
  • Club Deportivo Universidad
  • AC Milan
  • Paris Saint Germain
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Portugal

How to unlock

We do not yet know how these kits will be made available in-game.

We have seen EA release retro kits as SBCs in the past, including the advertised Real Madrid kit, so perhaps the same trend will follow.

We could also see some of these kits made available to unlock via objectives.

EA may just release these kits into packs which would mean you can purchase them on the transfer market.

We believe that some of these kits, like the PSG one, would sell for thousands of coins on the FUT 22 market, which provides a serious trading opportunity.

FIFA 23 Crossplay inbound

EA has revealed little to nothing about the upcoming FIFA 23 which is expected to launch around Friday, 30 September 2022 based on the release schedule of last year's game.

TIME TO CELEBRATE: If reports are to be believed, FIFA 23 will finally introduce Crossplay

A new report from Xfire, however, may have just revealed a massive new feature coming to the series in FIFA 23, crossplay!

Crossplay would reportedly unite FIFA 23 players across all platforms from Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia.

FIFA 22 trial coming soon

In the latest news surrounding crossplay in FIFA 23, it looks like EA could begin trialling the system in FIFA 22!

This would be a smart move by EA as the crossplay system is bound to encounter some teething problems.

According to the leak, it is likely that the FIFA 22 trial will not be in Ultimate Team, but in other game modes.

We would expect Pro Clubs to be on the list as one of the game's most sociable modes.
