FIFA 22 Featured Squad: Casemiro joined by unlikely Brazilian midfield partner

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has a new featured squad battle to challenge this week.

Sankhs (also known as Sandra Martinez), is an eSports player for Case, a team founded by Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, and has brought some big names in for her squad.

Featured Squad Battle

Squad Battles are the offline version of division rivals, with various weekly ranks and rewards.

Of course, Sankhs has picked Casemiro for her side, but it's the inclusion of another Brazilian CDM that has caught our eye.

Defence

He's not in the game yet, but that hasn't stopped Sankhs from having the Prime Icon Spain and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas in goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's Player of the Month card is arguably the best playmaker in the side, so watch out for him pinging balls across the pitch.

It's a centre-back partnership we're getting used to seeing, with Ones to Watch Raphael Varane and Team of the Week Virgil van Dijk the two man-mountains you will need to get past.

Of course, Varane has a connection to Real Madrid, after leaving in the summer, and so does the left-back, another legend of the game, Mid Icon Roberto Carlos.

Midfield

Of course, Casemiro is included, and it's his Rulebreakers version that has been chosen, who is better in all areas of the game apart from physicality.

It's quite a defensive midfield three, with TOTW N'Golo Kante taking another of the spots, and he will be sniffing out any danger with his incredible interceptions and stamina.

The final man who makes the cut is - Fred?!

This may sound surprising, but it is his Road to the Knockouts card that gets included, which is a brilliant and mobile CDM option.

Attack

With such a solid defence and midfield, the attack will be able to strut their stuff, and there may not be a more frightening forward line than these three players.

OTW Lionel Messi is on the right-wing, and we all know what damage he can do cutting in on his left foot.

His live card is now up to a 95 OVR, but could actually be the least of your worries when it comes to defending.

Through the centre is Kylian Mbappe's TOTW card, which boasts 98 PAC, 89 SHO and 93 DRI.

That will definitely test your defensive line, but there is still one more player to come.

La Liga Player of the Month Vinicius Jr finishes off the front line, and he is maxed out with 99 PAC, so make sure you don't get caught out playing a high line.
