Release Date

The official shortlist is now announced for March's Bundesliga Player of the Month award, so, we can expect the winner to be revealed roughly a week from now.

The February POTM SBC for Christopher Nkunku is still live and expires on Sunday, 17 April, so we will likely see an overlap of SBCs when the March one is released.

Robert Lewandowski

It wouldn't be a Bundesliga POTM shortlist without goal machine Robert Lewandowski featuring.

The start of March saw him struggle with his biggest goal involvement drought of the season so far - two games without a goal or assist!

Of course, that didn't last any longer, with a goal in his next match, and two more following that.

Bayern Munich went unbeaten in March, however, two draws and a win aren't up to their high standards, especially with Borussia Dortmund hounding them down at the top of the table.

Angelino

RB Leipzig was another side that went unbeaten in March, again with one win and two draws, which sees them just hanging on to a Champions League qualifying position.

Their attacking left-back could prove a surprise winner of the POTM award, as he popped up with a goal and two assists in that time.

His goal was a crucial last-minute equaliser against other Champions League hopefuls SC Freiburg, although just the one clean sheet to his record may go against him.

Borna Sosa

VfB Stuttgart managed to escape the relegation zone in March, with two big wins and a draw.

Borna Sosa assisted in all three games, with two being in the final 10 minutes, so his teammates will owe him big time.

Again, no clean sheets may go against him, especially as he is a defender.

February POTM

As the leaks suggested, it was French attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku who claimed the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for February.

Nkunku scored in each of his four matches in February, with a tally of five goals taking him to 25 in all competitions this season.

The Frenchman has been handed an outrageous second POTM card that trumps all the rest, with incredible stats across the board including 93 DRI and 91 PAS.
