Apex Legends' Season 11 update is almost here and we can't wait to see what Respawn Entertainment has up their sleeves for the next major update. At the moment, it's all about leaks and teasers - although, official information is slowly starting to appear. Here's what we're expecting from Apex Legends Season 11 and the next major title update...
ASH TEASERS? - Horizon is up to something
At the moment, Respawn Entertainment has only shared one set of teasers for Season 11. We expect more to drop soon, but it's left us trying to piece together a fragmented picture of what's going on narratively and what's on the way in the next title update.
As you can see below - in the first Season 11 teaser - it looks like Horizon is going to try and "wake up" Ash - who is rumoured to be the next playable Legend in Apex Legends.
Of course, Revenant isn't far from the drama - there's also a set of in-game teasers now active. Shrugtal has shared them below, if you don't have time to find them yourself.
These map teasers can only be found on Olympus, so if it isn't in rotation you might have to wait a little bit to go hunting for them.
START DATE - When does Season 11 drop?
We know it's a little early for Respawn Entertainment to announce anything to do with Season 11 - they usually drop this sort of information a week ahead of the release date at best! However, that doesn't mean we don't know when Season 11 is going to start. In fact, we know the exact date Season 11 is going to start - provided there aren't any unusual delays.
Season 10 is scheduled to conclude on November 2nd - looking at the current Battle Pass. This means we should see Season 11 start on November 3rd at 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST.
With this in mind, we should see an announcement or two about Season 11 and the content we're expecting to be released a week before this - on October 26th or October 27th.
LEAKS - New Tropics Map in the works
At the moment, Apex Legends has three maps in rotation - World's Edge, Kings Canyon, and Olympus. When you include the smaller maps we're also playing on in Arenas, there's quite a nice selection of locations in Apex Legends - compared to other Battle Royale games like Fortnite and Warzone, anyway.
GarretLeaks, a notable Apex Legends data miner, shared the following images that seem to hint at a "Tropics" map:
This was shared a little while ago and we haven't seen too much more about any new Apex Legends maps, but that doesn't mean one isn't on the way. Olympus was added in Season 7 - which would mean that it would have been out for around six months when Season 11 starts. That's more than enough time between maps, right?
WHAT TO EXPECT - What else should we see?
A new map would be a huge addition to Apex Legends in Season 11 - and we're not saying it isn't going to happen - but there are a few things we're expecting other than this. Think of these more as "safe bets" - Respawn Entertainment has got itself into a little bit of a routine when it comes to new content.
First things first, we should see a new Legend added to Apex Legends' expansive roster.
At the moment, we don't really have any new leaks to talk about. There's still those Ash rumours from last season and the leaks regarding a possible Kuben Blisk build, but we don't really know what to believe at this stage as nothing seems too concrete anymore after the release of Valkyrie and Seer. We should see something new pop up closer to the start of Season 11, but for now... We don't know what to expect on this front. There is this, though...
In addition to this, we should see a new weapon added to Apex Legends' arsenal.
However, again, we don't know too much about what to expect on this front. The Rampage LMG is the latest new weapon to join the arsenal - with the Bocek Bow before that - and there's a lot to look forward to with the potential Apex Legends offers. We don't know if Apex Legends needs another Shotgun, but we'd want to see one added to shake things up. If anything, something to bring the not-so-good Mozambique back into contention would be a welcome addition to the game.
Season 11 should introduce a new Battle Pass for players to complete alongside a set of Patch Notes that are bound to be interesting - keep your eyes peeled.
