Ranked Arenas are just the tip of the iceberg in the new Apex Legends Season 10 update!

Here's everything you need to know about what could very well be the game's best season yet.

UPDATE - Season 10 is Now LIVE!

Apex Legends Season 10 is officially underway, and that means a ton of new content is available to players now.

You can enjoy this new content on PC and PlayStation consoles - but Xbox players are experiencing some technical delays.

Also with some server problems with the last Apex Legends update - keep your eyes out for any other technical issues!

Season 10 Download Size

At the moment, Respawn Entertainment is keeping quite tight-lipped about both the preloading options for Apex Legends Season 10 and the download size of the Emergence update.

We know Apex Legends Season 10 is due to start at 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST on August 3rd, but that's about it. In the past, preloading has been made available ahead of time but there's no word on it this time around.

In addition to this, we don't know how big the update is going to be exactly. We expect Apex Legends' Season 10 update to be around 10GB on Origin and Steam, but anywhere between 25GB and 35GB on consoles. Last season, Xbox players had a 53GB download!

Emergence Battle Pass Free Rewards Leaked

Unusually, the Apex Legends site page for the Emergence Battle Pass has been half-updated ahead of the release of Season 10 on August 3rd. In regards to the free Battle Pass Rewards, we know the following...

" Bloodhound Character Skin, 7 Apex Packs, 11 Weapon Skins, 4 Load Screens, Season 10 Win Trackers for all Legends, 1 Music Pack, 300 Apex Coins, Season Badge"

We got a glimpse of the Bloodhound Character Skin in the Gameplay Trailer, which you can see below:

The website itself has several broken image slots and a broken video which would suggest that this information was shared prematurely. That doesn't mean it's wrong, but we should see more specifics as we approach release.

Final Seer Trailer Released Ahead Of Season 10

We got our final look at Seer ahead of the Season 10 launch this week. The short video goes into detail on how their abilities work alongside situational examples.

These trailers are always welcome so we know what we're doing when we drop into games after launch!

Seer's Abilities Detailed Ahead Of Launch

Crypto is shaking and Bloodhound is counting their days. Seer, the new playable Legend for Apex Legends Season 10 - Emergence - is all about offering visibility and disruption. In the right hands, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with in both Arenas and BR.

Ahead of the season's launch, following the Gameplay Trailer reveal, we now know the details about his abilities in-game. They are as follows:

  • Tactical Ability
    • Focus of Attention
      • Seer summons his micro-drones to emit a delayed blast that goes through walls interrupting and revealing enemies.
  • Passive Ability
    • Heart Seeker
      • Hear and visualize the heartbeats of nearby enemies when aiming down sights.
  • Ultimate Ability
    • Exhibit
      • Creates a sphere of micro-drones that reveal the location of enemies moving quickly or firing their weapons within.

Ranked Arenas Offer Another Way To Play

Much like Ranked BR, Ranked Arenas promises a competitive variant of the Arenas playlist to Apex Legends players. There's going to be the same map rotation and a similar Rank-MMR system to Ranked BR in play. It's even going to have the same party restrictions!

It might sound like a cut-paste job, but Apex Legends' ranking system works and applying it to the Arenas mode should actually help to create a more cut-and-dry ranked system. It's all about getting the win in Apex Legends' Ranked Arenas and Arena Points (AP) are only awarded for winning the match as a whole.

OVERFLOW IS COMING - This is one of six maps in rotation for this season of Ranked Arenas

The AP earned here and the ranked system as a whole is going to be separate from the Ranked BR system though. This should help keep things fair and offer players twice as many rewards for ranked play. Below are the Arenas maps that should be included in the map rotation this season:

  • Party Crasher;
  • Phase Runner;
  • Overflow;
  • Hillside - Kings Canyon
  • Dome - World's Edge
  • Oasis - Olympus

There isn't going to be a mid-season split like Ranked BR and these will rotate on an hourly basis.

Apex Legends' Gameplay Trailer Is Here

Respawn Entertainment's new Gameplay Trailer is here and it showcases new Weapon Skins, New Legend Appearances, and a whole lot more.

World's Edge has been decimated and Seer is joining Bloodhound as another reconnaissance-based Legend. It all looks very dramatic and the Gameplay Trailer has offered up a fantastic look at a few new features. However... The details are still eluding us.

When Is The Next Season Coming Out?

If there's one thing we DO know about Season 10, it's when it's due to start. Of course, Respawn Entertainment could throw us a curveball like making Skull Town an Arenas Map but, usually, they're pretty good at keeping to their own schedule.

Apex Legends Season 10 should start on August 3rd, 2021. Well, more accurately, it should launch halfway through August 2nd.

This is because the current season is due to end on August 2nd, looking at the Legacy Battle Pass. Take all this with the smallest pinch of salt, until we have confirmation, but we're pretty confident that this is the correct date.

LEAKS - Details On Another New Legend Surface

After Respawn Entertainment dropped Valkyrie in the last season, Apex Legends: Legacy, could we finally see the long-rumoured "Pariah" added to the game?

Details about this new Legend have been out and about for a while now and we're here to refresh you on what they're all about. You know, just in case they show up next season. It could happen.

Pariah is a Recon Legend with a Tactical Ability that makes her a fantastic asset to any squad and/or Arenas team.

  • Passive: Aplomb Training – Pariah can see enemy health bars. Pariah is also immune to stunning effects and SDM steam.
  • Tactical: Sonar Grenade – Throw a sonar grenade revealing enemies in its area of effect. The grenade lasts for 15 seconds.
  • Ultimate: Sacrificial Romantic – Pariah activates an SDM device releasing a flurry of steam in all directions but becomes unable to move. Steam causes burn damage directly to health.

Biast12, a notable Apex Legends data miner has also shared this image regarding their Legendary Skin names in the current build of the game.

Annoyingly, we don't know any more than that just yet. However, expect to start seeing things pop up soon.
