Respawn Entertainment confirm Seer is a Recon Legend for Season 10

Apex Legends Season 10 is finally live and we're here to talk about how Seer is going to completely obliterate the current Legend Meta.

We know there's going to be good offensive Legends out there and Gibby still has his shield, but it's hard to imagine the new Season 10 Legend won't have some sort of impact with his incredible Ability Set. Here's what we know...

UPDATE - Seer has the Recon Class ability, too

We already knew that Seer was going to obliterate the Legend Meta with his Ability Set, but this is something else. It was inevitable, but Seer has been confirmed to be a Recon Class Legend and that means he benefits from the Recon Class Passive Ability.

This isn't anything new, but it means Seer can also use Survey Beacons to scan and reveal the next circle and that's frankly a little too much.

It's hard to imagine people are going to pick Crypto and Bloodhound over Seer going forwards, but we could see a huge shift in the Legend Pick Rates for Season 10... Only time will tell.

New Ability Trailer released for Seer

We have an official overview trailer for Seer's abilities.

The trailer goes into detail on how each ability works in various situations so we know exactly how to play as Seer once we've had some time to test him.

Official Ability Description Revealed

Earlier this week, AlphaIntel shared information about the newest Apex Legends' character following his reveal last week. Now, following the tweet below, we know the official description for his Legend Abilities.

It's worth noting that you should be able to destroy Seer's Heart Chamber during Exhibit. This, of course, would not be reflected in the official descriptions.

Tactical Ability

  • Focus of Attention
    • Seer summons his micro-drones to emit a delayed blast that goes through walls interrupting and revealing enemies.
  • Passive Ability
    • Heart Seeker
      • Hear and visualize the heartbeats of nearby enemies when aiming down sights.
  • Ultimate Ability
    • Exhibit
      • Creates a sphere of micro-drones that reveal the location of enemies moving quickly or firing their weapons within.

A Glimpse Of What Seer Has To Offer

Respawn Entertainment has shared a Cinematic Trailer that delves into Seer's role in Apex Legends a little more. It gives us a look at what his abilities will look like but doesn't actually show us them in action.

As you can see below, Seer looks like he's going to be a lot of fun...

Seer Revealed As The Season 10 Legend

Seer has been confirmed by Respawn Entertainment as the next playable Legend to join Apex Legends in Season 10.

From the Metamorphosis Stories from the Outlands short, we were able to learn is that he was born during the destruction of a moon, giving him telekinetic abilities to manipulate light and/or energy.

Following this, EA shared the following statement with an updated image of how he will appear in-game. It also hints at the types of attack he will be able to employ. As it turns out, he actually has "microdrones" instead of what appeared to be telekinesis.
