A PS Plus announcement HAS to come at some point today

Sony is leaving us on the edge of out seats with their PS Plus announcement delay stretching into Friday.

Usually announced on the last Wednesday of every month at 16:30 GMT, PlayStation's PS Plus announcement is an exciting look at what's in store for the PS Plus subscribers in the month ahead.

However, Sony has delayed its announcement this month. This isn't the first time but it is unusual.

Now that the State of Play is out of the way, we STILL don't have all the answers. Here's what we do know, though.

It Needs To Be Today

February is a short month. We know that. PlayStation knows that. So... The PS Plus March 2021 reveal has to come today.

It does make sense that Sony would push back the announcement given the fact February is so short and the State of Play presentation was scheduled.

However, the fact that they haven't announced the March 2021 PS Plus games yet means that February 26th at 16:30 GMT is pretty-much the only time they have left this month to announce the information.

With this in mind, we're expecting an announcement then.

Kena Ruled Out

Sadly, this is one rumour that we now know isn't true.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was slated for a March 2021 release. This, of course, had everyone speculating that Ember Lab's new title could be coming to the 2021 PS Plus line-up as the next new game to be made free on the service.

KENA - Ember Lab's title has been delayed until August now

However, we now know that this is not true as PlayStation have given Kena: Bridge of Spirits an updated release window of Summer 2021.

Also, with new information about Standard and Special Editions of the game... It seems pretty certain that it won't feature on the PS Plus roster anytime soon.

FF7 Remake Possible

Although many thought the State of Play presentation was a little lacklustre, we did get more information about the PS5 version of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

INTERGRADE - The FF7 Remake is getting a new Yuffie Chapter too!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is coming to PS5 on June 10th, 2021. However, that doesn't rule out the current version of the game for the March 2021 PS Plus line-up.

It is one of the more heavily rumoured titles and with Intergrade being a free upgrade for current owners, this could be the perfect time to pick up the game even if you're not planning on playing it yet.

PS Plus April 2021

Unusually, the April 2021 PS Plus line-up currently has more information than March 2021 one.

This is because Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to PS5 consoles on April 6th, according to yesterday's State of Play presentation. It will be a free game with PS Plus 2021 on launch.

This means, though, that we probably won't get a new free game with PS Plus in March 2021 given the fact that Destruction AllStars is still going to be free to play until April.

It isn't outside of the realms of the possible that PlayStation would have two new releases as free PS Plus titles, but it is unlikely.
