MORE DETAILS SOON: Fans can get excited for EA Play Live so they can find out more about NHL 22

Fans will get their first glance of NHL 22 when the reveal trailer drops. Last year, the game's development was delayed due to complications brought on by the pandemic and the reveal trailer came out on Monday, August 24, 2020.

However, in the years before that the reveal trailer has come out in mid June.

The most likely time EA will release the reveal trailer is around the time of EA Play Live on July 22. Since the reveal trailer typically comes out a couple months before the game drops, this makes sense. An EA Play Trial and a game demo should be released at the same time as this trailer.

Release Date

There is not an official release date for NHL 22 just yet, but we can get a good idea based on previous years.

As stated earlier, NHL 21's development was delayed due to the pandemic and the game didn't come out until October 13, 2020.

However, in the years before that the game has come out in mid September. Therefore, we can expect NHL 22 to drop sometime around September 10, 2021.

Price on Xbox One

Since next gen versions have better graphics and cool new features, current gen should stay at its usual price.

NORMAL PRICE: As the next gen and special edition pricing varies, NHL's standard cost on current gen remains the same.

NHL 22 will probably cost $70 on next gen consoles, but current gen fans can anticipate the price at the typical $60.

NHL 22 on Xbox One will likely be priced higher for upgraded editions. Users can expect those versions to cost somewhere between $70 and $80.

NHL 22 Pre Order

NHL 22 on Xbox One can't be pre ordered yet, and that will probably be the case for a while.

NHL 21's pre orders went live on July 21, 2020, but that was obviously later than usual due to development delays. Pre order definitely won't be available until the editions and cover athlete are announced.

It's possible pre orders go up after EA Play Live on July 22, so fans should keep an eye out for that.
