Day One Patch
Square Enix has said that they hope to integrate the Outriders Day One patch into the full game before it's out, but there's a possibility that you'll need to download it separately on April 1.
The day one patch, whether it's on day one or before, includes the following:
- Many bug fixes and improvements, with a particular focus on the latter sections of the game.
- Performance improvements for pacing/stuttering that was observed during the demo
- Camera Smoothing improvements for cutscenes and dialogues. This should reduce the camera shake that some players are struggling with
- Cutscenes/dialogues frame rate improvements
- PC cutscenes will have the option to choose from 30, 60, 90 and 120fps
Players who pre-order the game will get access to the Hell’s Rangers Gear Pack, which includes the following:
- The Hell’s Rangers Arsenal of 11 unique Guns
- The Hell’s Rangers Truck Mods and Decals
- Hell’s Rangers Male and Female Gear Sets
You should be able to redeem a code for the content in your store of choice.
You'll either be sent the code by the retailer you bought the game from, or it'll be in the game's box.
If you pre-ordered Outriders digitally, the free content should be in your account already once the game downloads and you'll be able to equip it after reaching level 10 and heading to your Stash.
Xbox Game Pass
It's worth noting that Outriders will be free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers from release on April 1.
The full game will be playable for no extra charge if you're signed up to the service.
However, you will not be able to play Outriders via Game Pass on PC. You'll have to play via an Xbox console or compatible mobile device.
Single-Player vs. Multiplayer
Finally, you can play Outriders in both single and multiplayer.
It'll likely be more enjoyable with friends by your side, but you can run through all of the same content on your own if you're like to.
