Genshin Impact 1.6 launched on June 8, 2021, launching the Midsummer Island Adventure storyline featuring Klee, Jean, and Barbara.
Act II's challenge, Whirlpool off to Starboard...Full Speed Ahead! has players navigating different Waverider courses in an attempt to collect insignias and complete each course within a set amount of time.
It is a bit more difficult than it looks due to the loose handling of the Waverider.
Midsummer Island Adventure
Midsummer Island Adventure consists of four acts that unlock over the course of seven days from the launch of Genshin Impact 1.6.
Genshin Impact players must be Adventure Rank 21 and have completed the Archon Quest "Song of the Dragon, Freedom” and Trifolium Chapter: Act I “True Treasure."
Act I (Main Cannon, Make Ready, Fire!)
Players must use the Waverider to destroy floating structures.
This act is available from the start of the event, and players must complete the Mysterious Islands: Journey to the Unknown quest to unlock it.

Race the Waverider on timed courses.
This act is available beginning on June 11, 2021, and players need to complete the Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution quest to unlock it.

Act III (Samurai Sighted… To Arms!)
Fight the new Maguu Kenki boss.
This act is available beginning on June 14, 2021, and players need to complete the Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying in Wait quest to unlock it.

Act IV (Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow ‘Em Away!)
Use Harpastum Bombs to destroy enemies.
This act is available beginning on June 17, 2021, and players need to complete The Final Riddle: A Secret Uncovered quest to unlock it.

Echoing Tales
Collect Echoing Conch shells scattered throughout the archipelago to hear their tales and piece together a story that may lead to a wondrous treasure.
Completing this event will earn players the Summertime Sparkle outfit for Barbara.

Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow ‘Em Away!
Once players have completed The Final Riddle: A Secret Uncovered quest, they will be able to complete Harpastum Bomb challenges, clearing out monster camps with three different types of Harpastum Bombs.
How to Craft Harpastum Bombs
Genshin Impact players can craft Harpastum Bombs in batches of 20 at any alchemy table, using the following recipes:
- Straight Shooter – Deals a large amount of Pyro damage to a single target
- 1x Flaming Flower Stamen
- 1x Frog
- Hot Pod – Deals a small amount of Pyro damage over a small area-of-effect (AoE)
- 1x Flaming Flower Stamen
- 1x Lizard Tail
- Floaty Splody – Deals high Pyro damage over a large AoE
- 1x Flaming Flower Stamen
- 1x Luminescent Spine
Each of these bombs is equipable from the Gadgets tab in a player's inventory and is used similarly to the Wind Blessed Harpastum.
Clearing Out Monster Camps With Harpastum Bombs
Harpastum Bombs are incredibly powerful, making short work of just about any foe in a monster camp.
The Hot Pod is the least useful, and it not necessary to use in order to complete any of the objective challenges in Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow ‘Em Away!
Players should stock up on Straight Shooters and Floaty Splodies, as these will be needed to complete objectives, and are just better bombs overall.
Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow ‘Em Away!
Clearing out monster camps will earn players Mini Harpastum, the current used for the second tab in the Event Shop.
There are also six objectives to complete, earning player the following:
- Clear out 3 monster camps
- 30 Primogems
- 20,000 Mora
- Clear out 6 monster camps
- 30 Primogems
- 20,000 Mora
- Clear out 9 monster camps
- 30 Primogems
- 20,000 Mora
- Use Straight Shooters to defeat 2 opponents 2 times in a single challenge
- 2 Hero's Wit
- 20,000 Mora
- Use Floaty Splodies to defeat 3 opponents 2 times in a single challenge
- 2 Hero's Wit
- 20,000 Mora
- Use Floaty Splodies to defeat 3 opponents 4 times in a single challenge
- 2 Hero's Wit
- 20,000 Mora
