In Genshin Impact, the Echoing Tales was an event that took place on the temporary map known as the Golden Apple Archipelago.
Through the event, collecting Echoing Conchs awards travelers with the first alternative outfit, the Swimsuit version of Barbara, Summertime Sparkle.
The laid-back pace and fun mini-game leading to a free skin as a reward made this event a fan favorite.

Is Echoing Tales coming back in Genshin Impact 2.8?
Unfortunately, it seems we are not receiving a rerun or second version of the Genshin Impact Echoing Tales event in ver. 2.8.
Instead, a new event called Summer Sea Sojourn is taking place in the Golden Apple Archipelago, and it is awarding players with a Free Fischl Skin.
What to expect from Summer Sea Sojourn
The Summer Sea Sojourn event will feature the following characters: Kazuha, Fischl, Oz, Xinyan, Yun Jin, Mona, Venti, Xiangling, and Nahida.
By the characters involved, it is hard to imagine the story behind it, as we've never seen most of them together, and Nahida has yet to be introduced!
The first set of images from the upcoming minigames include big hydro platforms like puzzles, so we can expect to be doing some parkour, but this will only be part of the action.
As the main event of Genshin Impact 2.8, we can expect the Summer Sea Sojourn will have different types of mini-events.
These can include exploration challenges, puzzles, combat events, and plenty more.
In addition, travelers will obtain the 4-star Electro Character Fischl for free along with her new skin.

Nahida - The First Sumeru character
One character involved in the main Genshin Impact 2.8 event, Nahida, has yet to be introduced. So what can we expect from her reveal?
Nahida's name has been mentioned before by some characters coming from Sumeru. If the information is correct, Nahida will be the first playable character from the region.
Genshin Impact 2.8 will be the last patch before the arrival of the Dendro region, and so far we know very little about the new nation.
We know Sumeru is the land of scholars and that the Dendro Archon is called Lady Kusanali.
For the rest, we expect Genshin Impact 2.8 will help fill travelers in on the upcoming region and its inhabitants.
