Hoyoverse is preparing for the Second Genshin Impact Anniversary, a special event that will bring our adventure back to Mondstadt, the land of the Anemo Archon.

The Weinlesefest is the name of the in-game festivities and main event of the upcoming update. Based on the European Wine Festival, the traveler will meet a lot of familiar faces in Springvale.

Like other festivals, we will have mini-games and a Story Quest where Paimon and the Traveler help organize the event while they learn more about it.

Recent leaks revealed more details about this event, so we put them together in the following article.

Start Time

We can expect the Weinlesefest to go live along with the Genshin Impact 3.1 update on September 28, 2022, the same day as the second anniversary.

The version 3.1 Livestream will confirm these and more details. The Hoyoverse show will be broadcast on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

What is the Genshin Impact Weinlesefest?

This is the first time that the Weinlesefest is celebrated in Genshin Impact. So naturally, the festival takes place in the town next to the most famous wine producer in Teyvat, the Dawn Winery.

During the Festival Story arc, we'll meet with almost every playable character from Mondstadt, except Albedo, Mona, and Fischl.

Mona will also be joined by a new character - Mika.

Who is Mika?

Mika is a young cartographist of the Reconnaissance Company of the Knights of Favonius, the team Eula leads.

Dressed with a Kight of Favonius uniform, Mika is a mild short young boy with messy blonde hair. In despite Mika will be just an NPC during this event.

Leaks revealed that Mika would have a Cryo vision and use the Polearm as a weapon. However, he is not expected to become playable this year.

Weinlesefest Events & Rewards

The main event of Genshin Impact 3.1 will be divided into four different mini-events:

  • Catching boars and other critters
    • It wouldn't be a Wine Festival without catching some animals.
    • We will have fun capturing some of the many wild boars living in Springvale.
  • Mob camp trails
    • Like the Moonchase event, we will follow a trail of enemy camps.
    • After defeating the camps, we will open chests with Primogems, Materials, and the event currency.
  • Store simulator
    • It seems we are running a business during the festival, we don't have further details, but we can expect some puzzle mechanics in this mini-game.
  • Scavenger Hunt
    • As the title says, travelers will be part of a Treasure Hunt by finding clues in some texts.

According to the Genshin Impact 3.1 main event leaks, we are getting around 680 Primogems and a new Free Weapon for rewards.

Genshin Impact 3.1's new Free Weapon will be a 4-star polearm named Shifting Windblade according to some leaks, and Missive Windspear according to others.

The new Polearm will increase the ATK of the character while providing extra Elemental Mastery that will work very well with Dendro reactions.

Travelers will get the weapon and the refinements during the Weinlesefest event.
