Wild Weeks are retuning to Fortnite

Fortnite is bringing back Wild Weeks for the remainder of Season 7. Each week, a change will occur in the standard casual game mode and challenges will be tied to these changes.

Let's take a look at the first two Wild Weeks and see what changes will be happening.

Fortnite Wild Weeks Return

Fortnite has confirmed that the return of Wild Weeks will last until the end of Season 7:

"Based on Alien and IO behaviour, it looks like this is just the beginning: each Thursday until the end of the invasion, a new Wild Week and accompanying Legendary Quest chain will debut that’s sure to shake up your strategy."

Wild Weeks will introduce one change to casual game modes and attach challenges to these changes. Week 11 will see all Epic+ Pistols, Assault Rifles and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles changed to a suppressed variant. So what are the challenges that are connected to this change you ask?

Wild Weeks Challenges

We already know the first change coming for Week 11's Wild Weeks as well as the challenges associated with them. You will have to deal damage with suppressed weapons and receive a total of 100,000 XP if you complete all tiers.

It's widely understood that the drop rate on these suppressed weapons will be buffed for the duration of Week 11 to help with the challenges. This was the case the last time that Wild Weeks were part of Fortnite.

Week 12's Wild Weeks challenges are all centred around dealing damage within 20 seconds of gliding. This could see launchpads placed across the island to allow players to glide more frequently.

It's clear that the Week 12 challenges will be incredibly tricky to complete in just one week, but that's why the rewards are so lucrative!
