Fortnite Season 5: Did Tilted Towers Come Back?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is finally here!

After an epic live event yesterday, which saw the Marvel heroes defeat Galactus, it is now time to jump into the new season.

Fans have been begging for Tilted Towers to return, but did it?

Did Tilted Towers Return?

There were rumours that Tilted Towers would be making a return to Fortnite.

Unfortunately it didn't make a return to the game.

However, it kind of did.

Salty Tilted

The two sweatiest POIs in Fortnite history, Tilted Towers and Salty Springs, got combined to make the hybrid Salty Tilted.

This POI combines many aspects from both locations in one, such as having all of the houses and gas station from Salty Springs, along with iconic buildings from Tilted such as the Clocktower.

Salty Tilted has kept its original layout, with many of the Salty Springs locations still being as they were.

One house in the centre has been removed and a few other minor changes have been made to make room for the Tilted buildings.

The POI, and many other areas on the map, is now covered in sand.

This is a new mechanic to the game which allows players to traverse the map faster and out of sight.

Buildings such as the book store, Noms, and the Clocktower have all made a return to the game.

These are many of the iconic buildings where the most heated fights took place and scores were settled.

It would have been nice to see Tilted Towers come back on its own.

But many players have so many memories in these buildings, so we'll take it.

Battle Pass

Players can expect to pay 950 V-Bucks (£7.50 / $9.50) for the Battle Pass.

Over the course of the current season, you are able to earn enough Vbucks to purchase the Battle Pass for Season 6.

Along with the standard Battle Pass option, there will also be the Battle Pass Bundle option.

Season 5 won't be a themed Battle Pass and will instead go back to original Fortnite characters.

The Battle Pass will feature 7 new characters, including Star Wars' The Mandalorian.

CHAOS: Agent Jonesy has gathered warriors across all realities to fight in Season 5.

In addition to the Mandalorian, Baby Yoda/The Child will be the back bling for the skin.

This wouldn't be the first time that Epic Games has collaborated with Star Wars.

In December 2019 a Star Wars event was held to promote the release of Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars is owned by Disney, like Marvel, which is likely the reason for the heavy focus on both the Star Wars and Marvel franchises.

There is also currently an offer where players that purchase V-Bucks in-game will receive 2 free months of Disney+.

The Mandalorian is the flagship show of Disney+ so this could further draw attention to the platform.

Crew Pack

In a blog post the Crew Pack was officially revealed by Epic Games, after having been leaked recently.
