Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is almost at an end and players have been speculating what the future of Fortnite may hold.
The Galactus event is confirmed to be taking place on December 1st at 4pm ET/9pm GMT.
So with the Marvel story potentially concluding, players are looking towards Season 5.
Star Wars Themed Battle Pass?
Chapter 2 Season 4 saw, for the first time, a collaboration Battle Pass, with it being entirely Marvel themed.
Characters such as Thor, Iron Man, and Wolverine are all unlockable in the Battle Pass.
Now it looks like Season 5 will also feature a collaboration too.
This time with another Disney property, Star Wars.
Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR has revealed that the Mandolarian will feature in the next season's Battle Pass.
It was first believed that the entire Battle Pass would be Star Wars themed, but it has been confirmed that it will only apply to the secret skin of the season, much like Deadpool and Aquaman from previous seasons.
A leaked image of the Battle Pass shows that the Mandalorian will be the Season 5 secret skin, usually unlockable around week 7 if all challenges are complete.
The skin will also feature "Baby Yoda", the popular character in The Mandalorian series on Disney+.
The Rest Of The Battle Pass
It appears that the rest of the Battle Pass will be original characters, with only the Mandalorian being a collaborative skin.
After the Marvel themed Season 4 Battle Pass it is possible that Epic Games doesn't want to jump straight into another themed Battle Pass, but a Star Wars one would be great to see.
Star Wars Skins In The Item Shop
Just because the skins may not be in the Battle Pass, it is entirely possible that more Star Wars characters could be coming to the Item Shop during the season.
Last December saw Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Sith Trooper, and Zorii Bliss added to the game to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Previously the Imperial Stormtrooper was added to the game in collaboration with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Due to the ongoing relationship with Star Wars and Disney, it is possible that we will see more Star Wars skins in the Item Shop throughout the course of the season.
Chapter 2 Season 2 had Marvel's Deadpool as a secret skin, and also saw the bundle of Psylocke, Domino, and Cable added to the store.
There are some characters which would look great in the Fortnite universe.
Darth Maul would suit the game well, and the double lightsaber would be a fantastic harvesting tool.
It wouldn't be the first time that Darth Maul would appear outside of the Star Wars universe, he also was an unlockable characters in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
Ahsoka Tano, from the Clone Wars series, would work really well as a Fortnite skin too.
Then there's the usual characters such as Darth Vader, Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and of course C3PO who should have their own Fortnite skins too.
Only time will tell whether they get included in the game, but as of right now only the Mandalorian is leaked to be coming to Fortnite next season.
