LATEST - Servers Back Up
The Fortnite 21.30 Update has now finished and the servers are back up for players to hop back into their favourite battle royale. We will keep this article updated with any more updates.
Boogie Bombs, UFOs and Impulse Grenades All Set To Return.
According to ShiinaBR, the Boogie Bomb is set to make it's return really soon, being unvaulted as early as this week but potentially next week to bring boogie back to Fortnite for the summer event.
iFireMonkey, meanwhile has claimed that UFOs and Impulse grenades will also be making their way back to the battle royale, though it's unclear why that is the case right now.
The Skate Park Has Been Updated.
As expected, the skate park now found near The Sanctuary location has been updated in the game files during the Fortnite 21.30 Update, now resembling a more finished park, suggesting that skating could be on its way real soon.
Archiving Cosmetics Is Now A Thing.
Own a Cosmetic that you honestly hope to never see again in your locker so you can focus on the good ones? The Fortnite 21.30 Update has you covered. Cosmetic archiving has been activated according to HYPEX, letting players hide the skins that they want nobody to see.
More Dragon Ball Crossover Details added.
The Fortnite 21.30 Update appears to continue the slow build-up to an eventual Dragon Ball crossover that's in the works and estimated to arrive in August.
The first bit of info we know comes from FortTory and is a series of "quests" with the previously unnamed capsule now being called the Stamina Container in the game's files
The second batch of information comes from FN_Assist who revealed a brand new glider texture in the files of the game, appearing to be one of the franchise's Attack Pods/ Sayian Pods.
Finally, iFireMonkey has suggested that there are two codenames currently known about that are a part of the Dragon Ball Crossover with Fortnite. The first of those is the Stamina Vigor Glider shown above and the second is a male skin by the name of Stamina Cat, which many people have taken to confirming Beerus as one of the four expected outfits.
Prime/Overload Shotgun and Ice Cream Items Added
according to Fortnite leaker and insider HYPEX, a bunch of new items have been added during the Fortnite 21.30 Update including a brand new Shotgun known as the Prime Shotgun (or Overload Shotgun) and a series of Ice Cream items.
PC Update Out Now
The PC patch for the Fortnite 21.30 Update is now available to download. The download size is 2.13GB, slightly larger than usual due to the amount of content being added.
Fortnite 21.30 Update Release Date
Fortnite 21.30 Update
The Fortnite Status Twitter account has confirmed that there is server downtime scheduled for Monday, meaning that the release date for the Fortnite 21.30 update will be on Monday, 18th July 2022.
The Fortnite 21.30 Update will arrive at the usual time of 1 am PST / 4 am EST / 9 am BST and will be the summer update for Fortnite which will set it up for Epic Games' break as reported by Fortnite insider ShiinaBR.
Fortnite 21.30 Update Server Downtime.
There will be a period of server downtime between 2-4 hours for Fortnite when the 21.30 update is added to the game. During this time, no players will be able to log into Fortnite at all. An additional 30 minutes of downtime before the update begins to ensure no players are in the game while the changes are being made.
What to Expect in Fortnite 21.30 Update
As we prepare for the next update to take full effect, all we know so far is that this will be the summer event for 2022. Outside of that, there is very little information to go off of currently.
The only thing we can expect to see once the update drops is a map change, with a new Point of Interest being added near to The Sanctuary location and reported by ShiinaBR
This location was added in the previous update and has the file name of Celebration_Skate according to FortTory. This suggests that the long-reported skating feature will be coming soon, potentially one of the big features of the Fortnite 21.30 Update.
