The release of FIFA 24 is just around the corner, with a new era beginning in sports gaming.

With EA and FIFA parting ways, the game as we know it will now be named EA Sports FC.

Check below for every league and team that will feature in this new game.

FIFA 24 Licenses

License battles have never been more fierce than in recent years, with Konami, EA Sports, and many other games battling for exclusivity.

eFootball has claimed some major leagues and teams from EA, with the majority of Serie A sides taking the side of the free-to-play game.

NEW ERA - EA Sport FC is the brand new game from EA Sports

Juventus returned in FIFA 23 and we're expecting the Italian giants to remain authentic in EA Sports FC.

AC and Inter Milan will both be off the table for EA as well, with their licenses also switching over to eFootball, along with the iconic San Siro.

Speaking of stadiums, Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena is also set to stay away from EA Sports FC, with Konami and eFootball extending their exclusive deal with the German giants.

Potential Expansion

EA Sports recently signed a major sponsorship deal with La Liga, making them the new major sponsor for the league.

What this means for EA Sports FC/FIFA 24 remains to be seen, but there's every chance we could see the game branch into a live streaming service, or a place to watch match highlights.

“EA SPORTS FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football," said David Jackson, VP Brand, EA SPORTS FC.

"Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organizations' position at the centre of football culture.

“The visible reach and scale of this partnership is deeply exciting, as is the opportunity to deliver incredible experiences for fans through in-game innovation, interactive entertainment, and grassroots initiatives.”

FIFA 24 Release Date

FIFA 24 is not in development right now, but EA Sports FC looks to be revving up in the background.

As for EA Sports FC, no release date has been confirmed just yet, so we can only speculate on when the game will hit the shelves.

The last four FIFA editions were released on the following dates:

  • FIFA 20 - 24 September 2019
  • FIFA 21 - 9 October 2020
  • FIFA 22 - 27 September 2021
  • FIFA 23 - 27 September 2022

We expect EA Sports FC's release to follow a similar pattern and with those dates in mind, it will likely be released on Friday, 29 September 2023, in keeping with the FIFA titles that have gone before.
