When do I get my free World Cup Hero in FIFA 23?

The 2022 World Cup has officially hit FIFA 23 Ultimate Team!

Those of you who pre ordered the Ultimate Edition of this year's football game are entitled to claim a special World Cup Hero item in line with the Winter competition, completely free of charge.

So, find out when your free World Cup FUT Hero will be released in FUT 23 and how you can claim it below.

Release Date

Your free World Cup Hero will be made available on Friday, 11 November.

We expect the pack to appear in your Ultimate Team accounts at approximately 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on the day of release.

Please note, you are only eligable for the FIFA 23 World Cup promotion if you pre ordered the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition by Wednesday, 21 August.

How to claim World Cup Hero

Claiming your free World Cup FUT Hero could not be simpler.

All you need to do is follow these simple steps:

• Launch FIFA 23.
• Head to Ultimate Team.
• Go to the 'Store'.
• Head to the 'My Packs' section of the Store.
• Your Wolrd Cup FUT Hero Player Pack should be waiting for you there.

If your World Cup FUT Hero Player Pack is not in the 'My Packs' section of the Store, you may need to close and re-open FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

Opening your World Cup FUT Hero Player Pack will grant you one of the 21 World Cup-themed Hero cards, which will be untradeable.
